Damn, hopefully you find it Goomba or at least it shows up somewhere. Could it have fallen when you were on the bus? I checked out the GYROs and never knew you were handling so many orders so I'm sure everybody here appreciates the effort you put forth on your service greatly. Without you, there would be no way for any of us to get most of these things.

At first I thought it was medical/health scare. At least you have your health, family, and GFC supporters. In the end of the day, its just money, albeit a lot of money, but it can be recouped.

I am off to bed now guys. Thanks for your support and best wishes. It really does mean a lot to me. Today was a rollercoaster of emotions and probably the hardest and most physically challenging days I've had in ages. I'm hoping for the best but planning for the worst. Of course I will be doing my best to process all new orders tomorrow and keep up with existing ones. We'll get through this financial disaster together.

Stay strong and keep in touch my friends =) I'm happy to know all of you!

Oh man, I am so sorry to hear that! Goomba, you need the money right now, so I would like to lend you some if you accept the offer, just let me know.

Damn, it breaks my heart when such shit happens to a nice guy like you who is literally busting his dick at work.

She'll understand dude. Even if the money doesn't turn up right away, hopefully someone out there has the heart to get in contact with you! Good luck man!

Dude, she's your wife, she'll understand. But yeah this is such a major bummer!!! Wow, I would be destroying entire neighborhoods Godzilla-style, if I lost 2600$.

I've only used Goomba's service once so far (soon to be twice), but I've been very impressed with his customer service skills and his patience, and I've enjoyed some substantial savings because of the service he offers.

I'm sending $10 via Paypal to help with this unfortunate situation, and I'm throwing this down as a challenge to others who have saved some major coinage thanks to Goomba. I know that everyone's financial situation is different, so if you can afford more, less, or nothing, so be it. Penny Arcade's Child's Play has proven that we gamers and internet geeks have big hearts, so let's help one of our brothers out. And hey, the CDN$ is strong right now!

On a personal note, if your wife is anything like mine, she'll help you through this kind of stressful situation, not add to it. Wives are great that way, I highly recommend them!

Setite, yeah it really does stink but you know I'm just going to have to learn a major lesson from all of this: Don't use cargo pants when carrying a lot of money, always put it in your wallet (I didn't because I didn't want to pull out $2400 in front of everyone on the floor, but in retrospect I wish I had) and of course always use zippers or something that can fasten the money and envelope in. Thanks for your sentiments though!

Uncooked & jeffx, as much as I love my wife I know she's going to chew me out for this one. She may come around to understanding in time, but she's still not going to let it go anytime soon Trust me on this. She won't really kill me of course but I can guarantee I'm going to get an earful. I do hope someone will turn in at least some of it, but as the cops told me, it's very unlikely with that much cash.

Talula123, that's REALLY generous of you and I thank you. I normally wouldn't accept the money but right now I'm really in need so I appreciate your offer. Thanks a bunch man, I only hope that your good will brings you back ten times as much =) Thanks buddy. You put the first smile on my face all day.

If there is one thing you could say that could convince my sister that you are trustworthy to do business with, what would it be? I have many things I'd like to buy from the states, and so does she. I figured she'd have second thoughts on sending a stranger some money via paypal and trust that they'll order whatever it is and ship it over to us. I'd order it myself, but I don't have any sort of income nor a credit card.

So if there is one thing (or more) that you could say to convince her, what would it be?

Hope that $2600 appears outta nowhere for you, that really sucks.. disappearing money is totally not cool

X12, I don't know if there's one thing but you could show her my GYROS page of all the orders we've filled in the last six months or the "What People Ordered" gallery There's also my CAG Feedback Page, my eBay feedback Page, the reviews of me on RFD as well. Lots of good feedback for GFC. We're not perfect but we do pour our heart into making the service work

And for the record I ONLY lost $2400 haha... I say only, but hey, $200 is $200 =P

I'll follow suit and take up the challenge too. I've sent a little something to Goomba as well. It's not much but hope it helps out.

I do hope that some honest person finds the envelope and finds some way to return it.

** GFC Recovery Effort (A Couple of Ideas) **

Hey guys, you may have heard that I had a really rough day yesterday. I'm going to be doing my best to work as hard as possible to make the money back and so I'm going to be doing a few things to try and earn as much as possible in the next two weeks before my wife gets back to the USA. Some things I'm considering are:

1) A massive lowball sale with lots of really great games, many new. I realize my last Lowball took a few weeks to get the games out and this one would probably be similar (just telling you up front) but I assure you there are some great deals in there and with the number of items I have I really think I could raise quite a bit.

2) A system sell off of many rare and special systems: Limited Edition DS systems (brand new), A MGS Limited Gunmetal PS3 w/ LE MGS4 (Brand New), my Sony PSP 2000 in near mint condition, my Mac Mini (2 years old but runs great), my Nintendo DSi (blue) and many more. I'm not sure if I should sell these on eBay or via Lowball, but I will be selling a lot of these to raise money ASAP.

3) I am trying to come up with a way you guys can buy Service Charge Credits up front at a discount. So for instance, if you know you will be ordering from me again in the near future then I would be able to sell you Credits at a discount. Say for instance if you sent me $10 then I could give you an extra 25% bonus in Service Charge credit. So when you order with me, the invoice would show the regular service charge but your credit on file would be multiplied. I couldn't give you straight GFC credit since that credit is used to buy things and I simply don't have the money right now, but if I did it towards the Service Charge then it'd just come out of my profit, and you'd be helping me raise the money now when I really need it.

These are just a few ideas of mine. If you have any more let me know ... I'm all ears. I just wanted to say too that I appreciate those of you who sent or lent me money. You guys have hearts of gold and I'll do whatever I can to make it up to you. GFC isn't going anywhere and despite this tragic $2400 loss, we're going to bounce back. Thanks again!

Hey Goomba, I really need to know if you can check on my order. It was ordered on April 2, almost 3 weeks ago, yet GYROS still indicates:

#1063 / 533212753 - Canon EW-78E Lens Hood - Paid. Item Ordered. Waiting for Item.

The item is supposedly in stock when ordered, and is still in stock. I really need this item before the next weekend. Thank you.

I will go through all the packages when I get home today PooPooRocket (should be home promptly at 6PM). I'm going to be working until 2 or 3 AM today again so no worries. It did say it was in stock but for some reason it hadn't come in. I do have about 30 new packages in today so hopefully it's in there. I will update you tonight ^_^ PROMISE!

** GFC UPDATE **

Just letting you guys know, it's thundering here at my University so I'm going to stick around a little while after my shift and just process orders until it dies down a bit outside (supposed to last about an hour). I've cut down on the PF orders about 60% now and logged many of them and tonight I'll focus on shipping the PF orders that are in and the DR's that are in and need to ship out. Tomorrow and the weekend I'll focus on manually invoicing the DR's and then we'll be all caught up.

This weekend and throughout the next two weeks I'll be selling a LOT of my personal goods to regain my lost funds from my blunder yesterday and then we should be back where we were at the beginning of the year again. Caught up

I think EBAY usually nets higher price, when I look at EBAY I really don't see any good deals 95% of the time tbqh, but people on there are still willing to bid on used items even if its to save like a few dollars off retail. I've never sold anything on EBAY though so I don't really know the listing fees and such. I definitely think the service charge up front would help a bit, but it should apply only to paypal payments, I think

Also I'm thinking of adding something else to my order it'll probably be about 1.20~ pounds altogether, do I submit another request and stating to add onto my pending order and pay the difference for shipping fee($3.50?) + service charge($1.00?). And what's the likelihood of being charged brokerage/customs/tax/etc. if order is $110 and 1.20~ pounds altogether? Thanks

eBay does typically run within 90% of MSRP or Fair Market value but they also have 12-20% fees on top of the Paypal fees. So a $1000 item, I'm losing as much as 30% in fees (not to count shipping and all that). So it is sort of a good thing to get high value, but with a Lowball I don't lose almost anything to fees. So I'll have to think about it
