No. Probably not until later this year like the other PS3 games that have been added to give PS+ people full game trials.

I'd be nice if it was in the PSN store. How long did it take MAG to show up as a download? Cuz that's the route I took.

Frisky, congrats on the Cheapy Awards, you should have won since it is a "community award" and you do everything you do because you care and aren't getting paid. So a big round of applause to you for all you do for us, hope you know that we all do appreciate all of your informative posts, even if we don't always say Thank You all the time.

Nice to see Outland is going to be $10, looking forward to it, hopefully Journey is the same price, been looking forward to it for a long while.

The Drop for this week:
Quote:
PlayStation Portable

Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection (Also on PSN) — Offering the ultimate compilation of the FF IV saga, Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection offers Final Fantasy IV and its sequel The After Years into one package. A cast of unforgettable characters fight through one of the grandest stories ever told with stunning new graphics, a re-arranged, award-winning soundtrack, and bonus game features that provide the absolute FINAL FANTASY IV experience.

In Final Fantasy IV the kingdom of Baron begins employing unprovoked force to seize powerful crystals from peaceful nations. The dark knight Cecil – Lord Captain of Baron’s elite force, the Red Wings – is ordered by his king to obtain the Crystals, but soon begins to question the monarch’s motives. Enraged, the king accuses him of disloyalty, strips Cecil of his command, and sends him off to slay a mysterious beast that lurks in the nearby Valley of Mist. Cecil embarks on a fateful journey that will bring trials, betrayals, friendship, loss and self-discovery. Can Cecil open his eyes and become the man of honor that he must be.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, unravel a mystery told through the intertwining stories of a familiar cast of characters, and complete the Final Fantasy IV experience.

PlayStation Network

Arcana Heart 3 – Chaos and disorder are threatening to rip apart the very fabric of Japanese society as planar rifts appear throughout the country. It is suspected that the Drexler Institute, the instigator of the Great War many years ago and creator of the Divine Celestial Weapon, is somehow involved. In the midst of this confusion, a mysterious rumor arises, claiming the existence of wish-granting “Celestial Stones” within the chaotic planar rifts. As a result of these rumors, a number of individuals have converged on Japan in the hopes of obtaining one of these fabled stones – either to seal them away or to see for themselves if rumor is true. Each person has their own reasons for seeking these rare and valuable stones, and they won’t let anyone stand in their way, be they foe … or friend.

Fancy Pants Adventures — Run fast, run fancy in the home console adventures of Fancy Pants Man. The Fancy Pants Adventures takes all the excitement from the original two games and delivers an all-new adventure designed exclusively for console! True to classic platform game play, Fancy Pants Man speeds through an entirely new world to rescue his kidnapped sister, Cutie Pants. Racing through unique open levels, Fancy Pants Man will explore vast lands, defeat challenging enemies and overcome clever obstacles on his quest to save his sister.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 — The sequel to the groundbreaking Sega platfomer, here introducing new characters (Tails and Super Sonic) to the frantic platforming action play and even more lively graphics and sound.

Puzzle Agent — Welcome to Scoggins, a snowy little town of perhaps little particular interest … except that this is the setting of a new adventure game featuring the art of designer Graham Annable and gameplay by Telltale Games, masterminds behind the Bone, Strong Bad and Sam & Max adventures!

Duael Invaders — Duæl Invaders is an old-school, fixed-screen shoot ‘em up, mixing the classic formula seen in countless great ’80s games with its own unique brand of simultaneous 2-ship control. The game’s concept is centered on the idea of controlling two player ships simultaneously (on a single PSP or PS3 controller) across single player and 2-player co-operative and adversarial game modes.

Farm Frenzy — If you thought life in the big city was crazy, wait until you get a load of the country life in Farm Frenzy. Daily chores have never been more entertaining as you cultivate your fields, feed your animals, and gather the items they produce. Keep the bears away from your ducks though, or you won’t have any eggs to sell at the market. Spend the money you earn on upgrading your farm to churn out more products even faster than before. Meet an amusing cast of characters with plenty of frenzy and enough strategy to keep things interesting for hours on end.

Snake Warriors: Training — Choose from nine characters and start your career as a Snake Master in Snake Warriors: Training. The game contains a career mode where you need to obtain as many medals as possible as well as a training mode where you can practice the levels and compare your scores with other players. It is also possible to unlock 6 armors, so that you can play the game in style.

Mad Blocker – Mad Blocker is a traditional puzzler based around the lining up of 4 or more blocks of the same color. The game is fairly straight forward but it’s the hand drawn visuals and ease of play that are the games main attraction. See how many Fluzzles you can save!!

PSone Classic

Dino Crisis 2 — The dinosaurs return and this time they’re really, really mad in DINO CRISIS 2. The government has secretly continued Dr. Kirk’s research into Third Energy. Once again a rift in time has opened, and everything related to the project is lost in time. Now, Regina and her special forces team must use a different time device and travel to the era where they believe the facility is now located. When the team arrives, it is quickly decimated by a dinosaur attack. It’s up to Regina and Dylan, the only two survivors, to find out what happened.

Threads of Fate — Threads of Fate combines two stories into one giant adventure. You can play as either Mint or Rue, who are both looking for an ancient relic. However, their motivations are completely different: Mint wants to use the relic to get revenge on her enemies and Rue wishes to use the relic to revive a friend who was killed by a mysterious monster. Since the two are on the same quest, their paths will cross from time to time but the two stories have different plots, tasks, and dungeons to complete. Further, the characters have different fighting and magic styles: Rue can transform into any of the last five creatures he has killed and Mint derives her power from the ability to mix and cast spells. Two quests for the same item create a fantastic fabric of the Threads of Fate.
Both PS1 games are $5.99 and Fancy Pants Adventures is $9.99. Don't forget that Red Johnson's Chronicles Episode 1 for $6.50 this week for PS+ people.

DINO CRISIS 2.

So good. Rented it when it first came out, then I bought a copy a few years ago and it was still just as fun. Basically you just shoot dinosaurs with all manner of weaponry and a guy in a cowboy hat goes "YEAH" and "I RULE" and it's so great.

I remember Threads of Fate was billed as sort of a follow-up to Brave Fencer Musashi, and in that respect it was a huge disappointment. I've heard people vouch for it over the years though so maybe I'll give it another chance.

Yeah, Dino Crisis 2 is pretty damn good. One of my favorite PS1 games. It's very "arcade shooter" in nature where it has you earn points for every dinosaur you kill, and more points the faster you kill them. The points are then used to buy and upgrade weapons.

Frisky, I think you may have left out Nuetopia. If its the same Nuetopia I found by Google, then wont it be the first TG16 title we will get here in the US?

It didn't say that it was for PSN like FFIV, so I didn't include it in the list.

Under Siege will be out on May 3rd.

I'm pretty confident there's a PSN game called Project Neutopia in the JPN store that is not the TG16 game. I'll check and confirm.

Though PCE Neutopia 1 and 2 have both been released on the JPN store.

PSOne Classics are beginning to increase in price in JPN. Final Fantasy V was released at ¥1200 a week or two back, and Final Fantasy VI has been announced as well. Probably assuredly at the same pricepoint.

  • Crash Commando (Free to PlayStation Plus subscribers, regular price $9.99)
Wow, Crash Commando came out a couple years ago. Great multiplayer game! Might be fun to pick this back up knowing there will be the Plus population playing it. Kinda bummed it's a game I already have though.

Not surprised seeing it is Final Fantasy and square could get away with it. Plus they need money for that little disaster called FF XIV .

How much were they before? ¥900? I hope that doesn't mean $11.99 for the US store, $9.99 was already outrageous.

Has anyone played the Costume Quest DLC(think its called Grubbins on Ice)? I just finished CQ and REALLY enjoyed it, but it was shorter then id have liked and I find myself craving more. The DLC is tempting since it says it has more costumes and what not, but if the base game was only like 4 hours it makes me wondering if this $5 DLC is going to last me all of an hour.

I have. The DLC is about 2 hours at most. It is fun but very short, and really consists of goign to 3 "camps" trick or treating then going to the next one until you fight the new boss.

I am waiting anxiously to see if Neutopia is for PSP and PS3. There are mixed signals out there right now, but I assume it's the first of the promised Turbo Grafx games. I don't see why it would only be PSP but what do I know!

I actually never heard it billed that way. It does have a similar aesthetic, but it has no connection whatsoever to Brave Fencer.

The gameplay's pretty fun but standard stuff. What really puts the game over the top is the quality of the writing. I'd rank Mint (the girl) as one of the funniest characters I've ever seen in a video game, right up there with all the classic point-and-click heroes.
