is there a way to look at your history and see what you paid for in the month of October? I lost count of mine. I don't think the download history shows too much in terms of money spent.

I mentioned how two posts above that. Account Management > Transaction Management > Transaction History. Just set the start date to 10/1/11 and the last day as the current day and it'll show you all of the purchases you've made this month, so just add them up to see how much you've spent.

Before I respond to Frisky, there is a NEW(?) Sonic Generations Demo out on the HK and JPN store that allows you to play as Classic and Current Sonic in the Green Hill Zone, if interested, since the game comes out soon check it out. (Got it last night haven't had time to play it yet.)
Yeah I understand intentionally cheesy, I really wanted to like the game, honest. But I thought the "Arnold chicken" (also see "Drago" chicken) were too much cheese to tolerate. There are better side scrollers out there and cheaper ones (Gunstar Heroes or Hardcore Uprising). I understand you get a lot of these to review for free, but I can play something for 5 minutes after all of these years and know with 98% certainty if I like it or not and if it's decent quality (regardless of my taste in the genre or game style or not) I've probably have played over 4000 games in 30 years and have enough experience to have a $#!^-filter about what is trash vs. treasure. My mistake, I meant Cubixx HD not Cuboid (when I read your post I knew I either made a mistake with the name or something was wrong). But still my point remains (as long as we're on target for me talking about the right game now, and I'm a little surprised you didn't catch me on that, my fault for not being lazy and making sure I was talking about the correct name of the game) My apologies. ![]()
Managed to play another demo yesterday... Renegade Ops - I love Just Cause 2, so I wasn't sure what to expect here even though I heard the words Jackal HD thrown about. Well it's freakin' awesome, nice gfx, fast paced action game, only issue I had was the way point system and them throwing too many objectives at you at the same time (since I was working on finishing up gathering prisoners up and they were adding new objectives as I was doing them) which makes sense I guess since the point is to be in a ever evolving scenario and they wanted to keep things high tension, just wished I had more time to get things done, plus I hope the time limit thing isn't in the full game (if you veer off the beaten path on a mission) since I like to explore and see what I can find. And the way-point system, I load up with prisoners and they want me to go back to the church, well where is the church...I know the island section in the demo wasn't huge but it still was a bit confusing to keep finding new prisoners and not being able to get them since I had a full compliment and couldn't find where to drop them off at. It's a buyer, but at $10, dunno if I'd enjoy 2P split screen though, they should have went the route like Gatling Gears and kept the two vehicles together somehow.
Is the Steam version so much better than what they released on the PSN? Cause from what little I did play of it, I was bored to tears, and tried to understand what all of the fuss was about. Is it a case of Dark Void demo syndrome where the demo is not indicative at all of what the final product is, or is it another one off of me just not seeing what everybody else is seeing good about it? Please enlighten me. Don't want to start anything with Rolento, but man, come on, are people not allow to comment on things in the thread (that are on topic no less), plus reading is fundamental, I saw his response about the $10 back thing (both of 'em). Don't see the reason for the dig at me about my post above, that was uncalled for, regardless of its length, I don't do many of those long posts that often, so I don't see the need to be snarky about it, since it was suppose to be a alternate opinion piece on mini-review comments I saw throughout the thread on paid games. If you didn't mean me, I apologize, but I think you did, so...anyway I'll leave it at that.

I don't think anybody would fight you about the graphics for Beat Hazard Ultra not being amazing, as they work for the kind of game that it is. If you're expecting that, then you're looking at the wrong game. I do think complaining about the way they limit your use of custom songs for the demo is a bit silly since they're not going to let you play all of your songs to see it in action, but you can probably do that anyway if you want to do a little bit of work.
I don't care for Gunstar Heroes or Contra games since they're a bit too cheap/hard for me too enjoy, though RBHC isn't really trying to be anything like those kinds of run-and-gun shooters. Renegade Ops gives you plenty of time to get all of the objectives done, but if you're taking forever, the "stop ing around and get a move on" countdown will pop-up to get you back on track. It's not really an open world game since it just offers bigger levels for the events of that level to unfold in. The prisoner arrow should point you right back to the church when you're full, if not offer two gray arrows for the next prisoner and the church. The game's explorational elements are usually contained in the secondary objectives that pops up, as there's nothing to really find off of those paths. Gatling Gears is extremely linear and is kind of an on-rails shooter, which is why that kind of split-screen works for it.Wasn't trying to say that you don't have taste or anything, just saying that some of those games may not really be the kinds of games that you're expecting them to be and that they're not necessarily for everybody. It's different strokes for different folks, so what I enjoy isn't necessarily going to be great for everybody else. I just give my opinion on the games I've played, which I pay for more often then you and others assume I do, so that people that are looking for as many opinions as possible have something to take into consideration when looking to buy a game. |

I hope Daytona USA is good. The DD reboot of Sega Rally Championship struck me as horribly generic. There's something hypnotic about old Sega arcade racing games but the only systems that have really sucked me in with them were the Saturn and the Dreamcast. I'd be happiest with straight arcade ports of Daytona USA, Sega Rally, Super GT, and maybe Sega Touring Car Championship. With all the licenses involved, I can't see it ever happening.

Hey, Frisky, can you start posting the sizes of these games? I know there are lists in the gamesharing thread and lists on PS3Trophies.org, so this would surely help some people with limited room.

I'll consider, though you can go to the PS Blog and search for the game (s) in question to bring up the update post with that info.

Played a few hours of Infamous: FoB and am very impressed. For $8-$10, you can't go wrong. Love the vampire stuff.
So far, the game makes you play some of the Sucker Punch created UGC, and you don't earn the ability to create your own until you finish 5 UGC missions (I think). I might be wrong about what you need to unlock the UGC creation tools, but it definitely needs to be unlocked.

Does anyone know if Battlefield 3 will be available to download on the US PS Store on Tuesday? I know Europe is supposed to get it on Friday but I haven't heard anything for the US. It would be kind of odd if they got it and we didn't.
