I hope that topic was annoying enough. Anyway, how many XBox owners are waiting with bated breath for this game? I know I am, but with all the dates being pushed back it's getting pretty hard to keep track of when this piece is supposed to finally come out.

Just curious what everyone's thoughts are on this game and if anyone knows any news regarding its release.

I think Fable will be considered a huge disappointment if it can't live up to Peter Molyneaux's boast that it'd be the "greatest RPG of all time." I mean...you can't just go around saying things like that unless you intend to back it up.

However, judged on its own merits, I think it'll be a great addition to the Xbox RPG library. With Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Sudeki, Fable, and Jade Empire under its belt, the Xbox could become the premiere offline console-RPG haven.

Looks interesting but I will hold my judgement til its out. I think many are hailing it as the second coming, that will only lead to dissapointment when it doesn't live up to the hype. Hopefully I am wrong though and it turns out to be a great game. I think it will be good, but I will wait to see if its great.

I personally am looking foward to Advent Rising more.

I'm intrigued about it but with Halo 2 coming out around the same time it gets lost in the shuffle somewhat. I was going to list some other games but I didn't realize they were coming out this month... Pandora Tomorrow, Suffering.. etc. Fable's estimated date is June 15 according to Ebgames, but thats subject to change as always.

Honestly, all the hype has had me wanting to buy an XBox just for that game. Of course I'll wait for it to actually come out and then perhaps decide, still I'll wait for a 99 price for the XBox too

I'm ashamed to say that Fable was one of the reasons I finally did pick up an Xbox. Luckily the system is great on its own and i can enjoy it even if Fable sucks. But stupid me is still putting quite a few eggs in this damned Fable basket.

Fable was also a heavy influence when I purchased an Xbox (it looked just so damn good and the details were even better). Of course they took out one of the things I was looking forward to: the everything aging around you, and I wouldn't be suprised at all if this isn't the only thing they take out so hopefully it doesn't turn out to be a disappointment.

I'm not holding any preconceived notions of the game and its play. I half expect the title to appear on xbox 2.

Looks like a pretty sweet game, but it certainly won't make or break my XBOX collection. 26 games and still goin strong... hell, I think I've picked up over a dozen this year already (a bunch of older titles, mostly, but still!)
