How "Limited" is the Limited Edition Platnium Game

I was just wondering if the "Limited Edition Platnium GameCube" was gonna stop being made soon. Like, how rare can it be, everyone has one now, I think the rare one to find online right now is the black one, because of the holiday season. Anyways, you would think if you call something "Limited Edition" you would stop making them at a certain point, or just only make so many. I'm Confused. :?

Lets face it, in the not too distant future, they will stop making ALL gamecubes (don't flame me, I am most assuredly not anti-nintendo, I love the cube). Don't count on the platinum being significantly rarer, or worth any more than any other color. If you like the platinum, get that one, otherwise, just get whichever color you like best.

I heard they were bringing the platinum GC's back. I think they are a lot easier to find now then they were a few months ago.

I guess, It just seems kinda stupid to say something is "Limited Edition" and then make thousands of them evey two minutes(being sarcastic).

Personally I prefer the black systems. They match my other audio components & tv. The platinum looks too "spacey" for my tastes. I don't even like all these new TVs that are out. They all are silver now. The color of electronics must be cyclical. I remember when VCRs first came out they were all silver, then they were all black, and now all the DVD players are silver again. Computers used to all be white and now they are all black. Black just seems to match and blend in better with my other decor. Silver goes in & out of fashion quickly.

Yea, Im thinking about buying a new TV because of me getting the platinum GCN, I need a new TV anyways, its a sad little 13in but it needs to go, Im hopeing to buy one of those "Flat Screen TV's", its about the same size as a regular TV, except the screen is flat.

I think thats the reason why they keep bringing them back. It looks really slick. I wish mine was that color, but I like the look of mine too.

It was supposed to be limited, but people were buying up gamecube in platinum, so Nintendo just kept making them. I guess the limit is around 100 million or so.

I actually prefer the black one, it goes with the whole room. My computer is black, my desk is black, my tv is black as well as my DVD player and of course the PS2.

We haven't gotten anymore GCs into our since December. When we do get some more in though, I heard they're going to be the Indigo/Black ones because both the Platinum and Zelda bundles were holiday season only releases. Of course, it remains to be seens, so once people start getting more in around here I can tell for sure.
