Tears of Tiara, SRPG on PS3

My first thought was “wow, these combat scenes look sweet”. My second was, “I can’t believe how much this game has changed.” While Tears to Tiara is a PlayStation 3 game, its origins are a PC game. Here’s the PlayStation 3 trailer, which concentrates on actual gameplay footage minus the adventure scenes.
This is a turn-based SRPG on PS3 which saw a lot of changes when crossing over from PC to PS3. This is an RPG I've been watching for a while, and definitely excited about it. I really hope it does come stateside, but it will probably take around 9-12 months to bring it here.
The release date is July 17th, 2008 for Japan:

Looks very good, reminds me of the old Arc the Lads on the PS1. The only problem I can see is the menus look sorta complicated. But I'm looking forward to this. Thanks TMK for bringing this to my attention.
(I am still waiting for another Ogre Battle game though......)

We'll be getting Disgaea 3 soon and Valkyria Chronicles will be coming in November. We might get Agarest Senki here. But getting Tears of Tiara will be nice too, but I'm not expecting it until 2009 here.

Why is Playstation 3 written out in western characters throughout the trailer?

Well, despite it saying "PLAYSTATION 3" in English, that's how it's usually mentioned within Japanese text for most any game.
