I hope so too. I think im going to buy a 40gb tomorrow in case Best Buy does not match june 8-14th.

I'm concerned about that june 8 - 14th ad because this memo says, "This offer is only valid from june 1- june 7 or until wal-mart stock level has been depleted."

So if they do the same thing Jun 8-14th Best Buy says they will do national checks on walmart to see when they go out of stock so Best Buy can end the price match...

I'm betting Best Buy is going to end the June 1 - 7th price match early, stating Walmart is OOS.

I'll keep an eye on this. Matching the blu-ray deal the week of the 12th would be bad-ass.

I don't think this can be a deal for everyone, wouldn't this go under bragging rights?

Interesting...how do I go about pming? I've never priced matched ever. I guess take it to customer service with the ad? Or just go to any register?

Too bad that some Best Buy's will be dicks about non-employees having access to these things.

There was a scan of the newsletter for when the Xbox 360 HD-DVD qualified for free HD DVDs, I printed the newsletter that was posted and the manager was being a a-hole about it. Asking me where I got it, what website, etc.

Thanks a bunch for the heads up Mr. Foxxdie. I shop more often at BB than I do at WM so I'd rather get a GC there than at WM. I'll probably just buy one and sit on it and see how things play out the following week. The only functional difference between this and the 80GB, aside from the HDD and 2 less USB ports, is the BC right?

It should be tacitly understood that you shouldn't show internal memos and documents (which aren't normally meant to be seen by customers) to managers. >_<

my plan too, buy this 40gb with hopes of best buy offering the same promo for the 80gb june 8-14th.

I would politely tell the cashier AT CUSTOMER SERVICE you heard from Corp. HQ about best buy price matching. Hopefully they have checked their Best Buy News and know about the price match. If they dont Kindly ask them to check their news for the memo. Or give them the package sku from the memo I posted.
