What small game within another game can't you get enough of or just love.

For me it is the fishing mini-games from BOF 3 & 4. For me that is the most perfect fishing game ever. It is simple, easy and super fun. I wish there were more fish to catch. Just thinking about the fishing makes me want to play BOF.

I also like cooking mini-games.

While this is not exactly my FAVORITE, I used to love, while playing SMB3 with a friend, to go on their spot and start the original mario brothers so I could steal their items or kill them. Ahhhh, those were the days. That's right up there with beating the hell out of your fellow BattleToad for absolutely no reason.

I liked the snowboarding mini game from FF7.I actually spend hours just playing that for fun without any movement in the story.

I've got a good one.

The Sega Master System Snail Maze game. You know, the one you could activate holding down a few buttons during boot up with no cartridge. Remember that? I forgot which buttons I had to hold down. I sure loved the challenge of that game. I think I got 4 or 5 levels in before the time ran out.

Just another gaming history lesson for you youngsters out there.

Yeah i remember that. But my favorite is either the Chrono Trigger Raceing mini game other the Motorcycle game from FF7.

Hacking guys on motor cycles AKIRA style=much fun!

I know it's not a mini-game in the traditional sense, but I loved the Dice Maze in Gunstar Heroes where the background is a board game and you have to throw a die to advance your marker. Depending on the square you land on, you either get powerups, a boss battle, or the dreaded "Way Back" that makes you start over.

Check a used game store...carts-only typically go for $5-7 in this neck of the woods.

warioware's minigames all in itself... ever played it? there are so many, i just love them all... i'm hooked i must say. but i also love paper plane in that. a simple idea, yet you'll find me mashing thousands of buttons to get the air plane going down at the exact angle i want going all the way down. my high score's not good at all though. only 165. lol :?

Warioware's f'in addictive...I unlocked all but the final mini game in the weekend after I got it. I'd alternate between using my GBA and my GBP whenever I'd get tired of one or the other. I hadn't marathon-gamed like that in years.

I'm still working on obtaining the final unlockable from time to time...you have to set the high score on ALL 200+ mini-games. I think I'm about halfway there.

definately wario ware. the skateboarding is great. i unlocked and got the high score on all the minigames. of course lets not forget the mario party minigames. i think 4's were the best. and fishing in ocarina of time. so very relaxing. must get bigger fish. and all the mini secret areas in super mario sunshine where you would have to collect the 8 red coins in some tripped out 3d puzzle without the aid of your waterpack. i think my heart stopped a few times during those. ahhh good times from nintendo.

Space Harrier in Shenmue. When you can play SH, why play some crap like Shenmue anyway?

You can go either commander keen or test drive on this one, but the loading screens had pong. I'm a big fan of it.

Also the Ridge Racer loading screen with galaga was pretty sweet as well.

Probably Overworld Zero (A miniature Ultima-type game) from System Shock 2.
