Ok after almost 3 years, my laptop battery has decided to stop charging and I don't want to leave my computer plugged in all day. Therefore, the time has come to purchase a new laptop. One of the big deciding factors is the audio as I currently have a Toshiba Satellite A505 with Harman/Kardon speakers that sounds amazing for a laptop.

When searching for a computer and basing it off sound, what exactly should I search for? Reason I'm asking is I went to bestbuy.com and looked up my laptop but didn't see anything in regards to the speakers.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Budget? I guess you should look for an "entertainment" laptop.

Are you sure you don't just want a new battery? This 9 cell is $30. http://www.amazon.com/Battery-Toshib...a+a505+battery

Interesting. For some reason, I totally overlooked the idea of getting a new battery. For a new laptop, I'd be comfortable around $500. Entertainment laptop is right. I'll be doing alot of music listening and a good amount of movie watching. Thanks!

Just get that replacement battery.
Even though it is from a 3rd party, the 3rd party has to give you a 30day return policy on amazon, so if it doesnt work as expected a return is no problem.

You would have to find good deals/sales on laptops, and then find reviews that are specific for the speakers. Lot of reading reviews and unless they happen to have that same model in a store near you so you can go hear for yourself, it may not be better than the speakers you have now.
