I hope this is a coincidence....but after setting up my Blizzard AH account the other day with my cell I just got my first spam msg ever(after having number for almost 2 years)

Funny you mention that, my friend just said the same thing the other day. He keeps getting sales calls and shit. Doesn't sound like a coincidence.

first one i was looking at my inventory while sitting in one of those act 1 tree pods.

second one was hilarious. i joined a guy's game for skeleton king, clicked his banner, and was teleported to pony land where i was one shot by a twinkleroot. i never even got to see what a twinkleroot was but thats awesome that you can grief like that. i'll have to try it myself later.

That's the build I used after looking at several DR builds and compiling the best points into one build. The idea is to let mystic ally tank for you while you dps from behind with deadly reach and sweeping wind. Deadly reach has enough range to keep you out of all of the melee affixes (molten/plagued/fire chains/etc) and is short enough to keep you close enough to not get hit by mortar by the champion your pet is tanking. It also gives you breathing room to reposition yourself without taking hits as you do so.

Generally, your fights should start off with you casting mystic ally, pulling the mobs to a suitable location, then getting blazing wrath and sweeping wind up once you're ready to dps. If mobs start coming for you, kite them, using mystic ally to peel when necessary. You should never be tanking damage unless you're going for a kill, or you feel safe enough to burn your serenity for a few seconds of free dps. Your pet will die often, so keep an eye on its health and recast it when it's dead or about to die. It spawns behind you, so be prepared to reposition yourself after each cast.

You ideally want to fight in doorways, on stairways, or around other areas where you can bottleneck the champions to focus your pet. You can also use corners to your advantage, as mobs tend to get snagged on corners and with your pet blocking the way, the mobs generally won't go for you until your pet is dead.

Life on hit is a luxury, not a necessity, for this build. I'd recommend using a life on hit gem for your weapon just to keep yourself topped off from small hits, but that's all you really need.

Oh, haha. I remembered you talking about your monk earlier in this thread, so I assumed that was what you were still playing. How's barb compared to monk in inferno acts 2-3?

I can sustain better than my friend who I do the A3 chest runs with. He does more damage though.

Gave up and went to WD. I'm almost 60 on my WD, then I plan on having a Demon Hunter to 60 and be done with leveling in this game. Don't want to hit 60 with all chars then have a ladder reset

I don't see Blizzard doing ladder resets. I hope I'm right on it but I don't see them doing it.

So I linked up my paypal account to my battle.net and when I list auctions, it still tells me I haven't setup paypal? Any ideas or is there just a waiting period before it goes through?

Did you set up the SMS alerts too? That was the problem I was having.

All I can say is GL soloing Diablo on a monk.

Thought i got 2 really good items on last run, but not so much. Saw a 1200dmg weapon, but then it was only a 2-hand....then i saw a legendary monk fist with 280 dex but it was only 450dmg. Oh well.

Well, after watching Zrave do one million gold Barb builds that work far better than my current build and using an EHP calculator to determine that my gear, despite having high resists, is relatively bad, I've decided to sell off all my Barb gear and start from scratch. This should be fun.

I second the GL. I started a Monk because it looks fun but now it's hell . Too far in on my monk to just quit as well and level up something else.

I think I am realistically just going to end up buying a copy for my GF this week and starting a character with her. I spent Saturday cleaning out her macbook (as of opening the er up and using some compressed air), and making sure the game ran fine (which it did thank god, was worried because she had a 2007 macbook). She wants the game anyway so I figure I can make my investment back on the RMA.

Amusing fight in Act III inferno. Was in the Icefall caves and ran across a Possessed rare mob with Illusion affix. They spawned a bunch of themselves and I killed them quick....then my screen slowed to a crawl as they all exploded. Took out all the minions and almost the rare too, so that was fun.

And actually got an upgrade from them - pants with the same stats + 50 physical resist.

For the real money auction house does Blizzard charge you if the item does not sell or only if it sells they take a percent?

Only if it sells. And they only take the 15% if you cash out using paypal. Putting the money in your Battle.net wallet you just get charged the $1 fee.
