I've been waiting for a couple of weeks for this game to make a move on Amazon and it finally did. If I had to bet I would say Conan will be a $19.99 DOTD on Amazon within a week or so.

Is it any good?

the demo is on xbox live... i played it... not my cup of tea...

Plays sort of like a poor man's God of War. The combo system is good and you can use different weapons that make the style quite a bit different. Boss battles where you have to hit the appropriate button quickly, which is again like GOW. It has an old-school flavor as a slasher/brawler, which is right up my alley, but may not be for others.

$22.99 now. It will probably drop more over the next few days... I'm watching it closely...

I bought a copy off Gamefly for about $10 and change. It's fun for a few minutes but quickly turns repetitive...IMO it's probably worth $15 and may not be worth that either for a lot of people.

It should be $10

Willing to bet this will be a $10 title on a gamecrazy sale in the future

I'd agree with that, it's only good in short increments, I'd say it's worth $15 tops. It's a very fun game, but it just gets so repetitive.

The game is ok. The ending reall sucks thought as it is too hard. I got so mad I just quit the game and sold it and that is rare as I finish most games. It could have been that I was just having a bad day but I spend 3-4 on the ending and just could not beat it.

bought this last week @ $26.99.

time to get some money back!

You can say that again. PLEASE play the demo first. I through it was pretty dreadful. You've played this type of game before, many times, and IMO it's been done much better.

I thought the demo was actually decent. The graphics aren't anything to write home about, but I thought it played like God of War and had a good time with the demo. I've been waiting for $20 on the PS3 version, and I'll continue to wait until I can get it at that price.

i hope it's $15 soon, well worth it for the huge amount of nekkid double dragons in the game

Too bad the graphics engine and/or art style isn't better.

Dropped $1 this afternoon to $22.99

Picked it up used w/ coupons/edge at Gamestop for $18 awhile back. I pretty much agree with what everyone has been saying. I played through it once so far and enjoyed it. There are lots of gory and funny ways to dispatch your enemies. There are boobies to be seen although they are usually too far away to appreciate. It was a keeper for me, but definitely at <$20. It'll probably be $20 everywhere soon.

The game really has more depth to it than some have alluded to. There are 3 styles of weapons you can use and pick up along your journey and you can unlock (buy) various moves (combos) for each style. There are also grab moves like piledrivers and backbreakers. There are several parry moves for each weapon and those are initiated by blocking just before an attack, then pushing the button that pops up on screen. These are done in slow-mo and most look pretty cool and bloody, as well.

The boss battles are pretty cool and you usually have to do multiple tasks to defeat the boss. The sand dragon has you fighting in a few different locations and I won't give a spoiler, but you do have to do a couple of different things to set up the kill. The game also has a little bit of Prince of Persia style to it, where you grab ledges and do some climbing up walls to get to higher ground. Some very basic puzzle solving is also part of the game play.

Overall this isn't just a straight up button mashing slasher. There is a good variety of enemies and you can't use the same strategy on them all. This kind of feels like what a modern day version of the old school Golden Axe would be like.

If you have a Gamerush in your area that's a nice deal. The only Blockbuster in my city has no Gamerush attached to it, sadly. :(
