how do you guys tell what guides get pennied? I can never tell or I'm not looking in the right place. I just moved to Kennesaw, so I'm shopping up here now. the cobb parkway best buy.

I'm still looking for Live cards at kennesaw. I know they have some at cumberland but I don't want to drive down there.

Someone already took all the pennied guides there, every one- the cashier told me. You need the list from the pennied guides list in the deal section.

That's annoying. Both you and I were there and there were still plenty of guides left over after we were gone. The people who take dozens of these are just being greedy plus they're going to be left with a lot of stuff worth very little. Decent trading value (only certain ones) but very little resale value.

Yea, that's why I don't like reading to many of the posts in the pennied guide list thread. These people just buy them out and leave none for anyone else.
Is there any reason that I shouldn't have been able to find a copy of Viva Pinata TIP yesterday?

I used to grab 2 of every guide, until I ended up with boxes of them and nothing to do with them and no one interested. The used bookstores wont even take them.

I didn't get much myself. I got the 3 guides I really cared about, but only 8 or so total.

what used book stores do you use to try to trade them in?

Someone cleaned out the Sydney Marcus BBy too... the cashier told me. Too bad too because supposedly they had a lot.

I was only able to pick up Fire Emblem and Head Coach '09 :(.

I got two guides I was really interested in and had several ring up regular price. At Sideny marcus: SC4LE one left and Assassin's Creed one left as well as some final fantasy guides; Pleasant Hill: Nada; Snellville: Nada. BIA:HH, Madden 09 LE and Battlefield BC rang up full price with Madden ringing up full price at two stores.

EDIT: Lotta posts while I was typing! That makes sense about SM's BB because there was a ton of open space on the guide shelves. Really glad I got the SC4 guide then. Ass Creed was with PC books so it might have not been noticed. I tried getting the regular Madden guide (forgot which was pennied) and the cashier kept trying to get the deal for me saying that it was ringing up a penny all day until someone told her there were two different guides.

Those weren't at Sydney Marcus last night around 8pm. I wanted Ass Creed too :(

I might be interested depending on what you have... I'm missing a lot of the older 360/PS3 ones... Didn't get into the clearance gaming scene until several months ago.

y'all try north point mall..there are a TON of guid4es still left...ESP if you want the Spore LE (but be sure to check over by the PC games cuz thats where it is)..and you really have to look around to find ALL The guides cuzz they hide them sometimes

i grabbed 2 of every guide i could find as well...so if anyone wants some i'd be willing to trade :-D will be updating my list at sometime this morning..but first...DUNKIN DONUTS COFFEE!!!

Bummer, I got them around 4:30 yesterday. Was in the store 5 minutes and came out to find a business card with "Call me about the dent" written on it. Perfect.

I think I'm going to have to ing kill some one to get a Street Fighter IV TE stick for the 360. They stopped pre orders the day before I got paid. Mother ers.

I'm surprised you didn't find anything at the snellville BB. There was a ton of stuff there on monday.

I went to Edgewood BBy today and it was raped also... but some how someone left an Oblivion: GOTY guide there and I snagged it! They also had about 6 copies of the Warhammer guide but it was ringing up full price :(.

Nope. I went into that store on Monday morning and they had a TON of guides on the shelf. I grabbed a select few (about 10 or so), took them to the register. The cashier girl started ringing them up as normal but in the middle, she called for a manager, so I knew exactly what was about to happen. The manager came over and told me they couldn't sell them to me because they were supposed to have been pulled. I assume they then went back and pulled the rest.

Oh, I know. I was cool about it. There are some people in the penny guide thread that would have flipped out on the guy, but they don't have to selling to me if they don't want to. The manager wasn't a jerk at all, but he also wasn't going to budge, even when I asked him if I could just buy a few of them. No biggie. I got the 3 guides I wanted from another BBY.

Wait...is the Soul Calibur 4 guide pennied at Best Buy? I just saw a few at North Point yesterday and though, man I'd love that guide but not a full price. Do the cashiers typically have a problem selling it for that price, thinking it's a mistake? I may go back and try to pick it up.
