My Live Gold expired a few months ago, so I'm not sure how many people this applies to. I saw a similar deal before, but not sure if there was one recently or if this is an ongoing deal.

Nice. My subscription ends this month...I'll give it a whirl.

Sorry, I forgot to emphasize that this may only apply to people who get the email, but its worth a shot. I just got the email a few minutes ago, so look out for it.

I guess a free XBLA game is better than nothing, but you can get a 12+1 month card cheaper than the 50 dollar 12 month online subscription.

They did something similar in March, but it was with free 400 ms points. I never got mine.

It says 'you must sign up for a 12-month Xbox LIVE Gold subscription during the promotion period' but doesn't say if the 12 mo + 1 subscription cards work. I bought one of these a few months ago and will activate it tonight. I hope that will work too. Got that one online for $40.

I think they're given out at random if you're signed up to receive Xbox Flash emails. I got a 'Buy 2 XBLA Games, get Heavy Weapon for free' offer. I did the offer the first week of June (Catan and Ikaruga) and got my code on the 8th of July.

If you read the conditions, it says that it only applies to the user that the promotion was emailed to.

Let me know if this works for you. I bought this from the buy.com deal awhile ago and nevery registered it (yet). Hopefully this will work!!!

This sounds most likely that you get one of these free 5 dollar games ONLY when you buy the 12 month subscription with a CC through your 360 dashboard.

I got the same email. I've been thinking about renewing and was kinda excited about this offer until I saw what the selection was. I have the two good games and have no desire to own the other three. It's a shame they offer old stuff instead of giving you an offer with real meat.

I just went through the process with a subsription card I bought online from a retailer. I already had a 1 month Gold subscription going on this month from GTA IV so I'm not sure if that will effect it. Find out in a month I suppose.

I think the "sign up" and "12mo" signal this doesn't apply to you buying a 12+1 month card at a B&M store.
