Pretty good deal, I think. I didn't even know they HAD a pack, because I almost walked out with seperate copies of Exorcist and Legion.

It consists of Exorcist, E2: Heretic, and E3: Legion.

They have to sell this one --->E2: Heretic<--- somehow, right?

I dunno. There have been some pretty bad sequels. That could be it's own thread. List the worst sequels ever.

The first one is the only good one. Even the new one sucked.

However, I think a bad sequel must be in proportion too the genius of the original movie. For instance the Lost World sucked but the first JP itself while a fun movie wasn't a masterpiece like Exorcist one.

So in essance I look at all my five star movies and then consider the sequels. Example: Back to the Future to me was 5 stars while II was 3 stars. Exorcist was 5 stars, but EX2 was ZERO stars. Really. No redeeming qualities at ALL which is highly unusual.

Again, just an opinion

EX2:

The story was unfathomably bad.

The soundtrack was grating.

The pacing was piss.

Regan, while a true strength in Part one is older and has lost her innocent charm, plus we realize, she can't act.

The movie exists merely as a flashback to the first, rendering it totally unnecessary.

As bad as I've ever seen.

Now... speaking of bad... lets talk about Riddick.......

Ive never see any Exorcists movies, but from what Im seeing in this topic it looks like I should stay away from this deal.

I've only seen the first one, which was really bad. The story could be summed up in a few sentences, and it's really stupid, and the movie just got exposure because it was shocking for the time, and it's still pretty disgusting on several levels. So both eugh and meh on it.

Don't avoid the Exorcist b/c of this deal... but avoid the deal. If you do you will be missing out on a frightful piece of cinema history. Linda Blair, Ellen Burnstyn, and Jason Miller give amazing performances.

It would be like skipping Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope because you had the misfortune of seeing The Phantom Menace.

The only really bad one is Exorcist II, IMO. I even liked The Beginning quite alot, but that's just me.

Hey could you give me an idea of how the Beginning fared?? Rate it along with the others in the series. I give:

E1 5 stars
E2 NO STARS
E3 3 stars

Ehhh stay away from this pack, the E1 dvd is the "version youve never seen" which sucks. its pretty much bare bones. Go buy the normal edition it has a documentary on it and a couple other things

E1 sucked IMO, no plot, no pace, just a bunch of shock scenes all the way to the end. I say avoid the whole lot of 'em and go get something worth getting.

I can the Exorsist 3 pack for $18 where I work. Which is Meijers, a super store located in like 5 states.
