I don’t like to start game threads since I’m not OCD about updating my initial posts with new info. But since there doesn’t seem to be a thread dedicated to Portal: Still Alive I decided to start one up.

The achievements are up; hopefully that means it will hit XBLA marketplace within the near future.

So this is the original plus x amount of "advanced" chambers, right? Anyone know what x would equal? Any suggestion of DLC? Are there other features that would make it more justifiable for me to effectively re-purchase the same game I got with The Orange Box about one year later?

This isn't Portal 2, it's Portal (1) released standalone with some extra levels ported over that are available on the PC for free.

(Not trying to sound like a dick, just don't want people getting their hopes up or buying the game thinking it's a sequel.)

Ok, I edited out the Portal 2 stuff…this is why I don’t start game threads.

That's ok Kevlar! I would have probably done the same !

I will have to wait to see if the extra's are worth it on this one. I have it on the OB and it would be kind of silly to pay for the same game twice ... but if there was extra download content/several extra levels, and the pts were right I might.

Does anyone know, or are there rumors on, the amount of pts this will be?

I wonder if the extra content may be purchasable separately and cheaper than the full release for those with Orange Box?

I forsee 1200 pts, if they are greedy, they'll try to get away with 1600.

1600 points will = no sale for me...20 bucks is not worth the extra levels considering i have TOB, and the extra levels don't flesh out the story anymore.

yes there are I think 14 still alive chambers, plus all the originals. no new features just a few more chambers.

Thanks. That being the case, I really can't see paying more than 800 SpaceBucks for this thing, then. For those that haven't played the original, I'd say twice that amount is worth it.

I really hope we see the true sequel and Episode III by this time next year, give or take a month.

Considering I will be repurchasing Orange Box soon, I probably will be passing on this. Even though I would like the extra levels, I can't justify more than 10, and even then, I would have to think about it pretty hard.

Not enough new content to warrant a purchase for me.

Considering on store shelves Portal is $20, I'd suspect this one is 1600 points. Either way, it's a no way buy for me. I had enough Portal already.
