The hotly anticipated award-winning World of Goo™ makes its WiiWare™ debut this week, inviting players to build infinitely fascinating structures out of Goo and uncover the mystery behind the World of Goo Corporation. This week's new games are: WiiWare World of Goo(2D Boy, 1-4 players, Rated E for Everyone—Comic Mischief, 1,500 Wii Points): World of Goo is an award-winning, physics-based puzzle/construction game made entirely by two guys. Grab living, squirming, talking globs of goo to build structures, bridges, cannonballs, zeppelins and giant tongues. The millions of Goo Balls that live in the beautiful World of Goo are curious to explore—but they don't know that they are in a game, or that they are extremely delicious. World of Goo Corporation is contractually obligated to state that everyone is a winner, and is enthusiastic to celebrate everyone's Goo building opportunities equally. As each stage begins, various colored cubes form into one large object called a Cubello, which floats and rotates as you play. Launch additional cubes from your magazine and try to connect four or more of the same color, removing them from the Cubello and eventually leaving only its core. It also introduced an exclusive Group Battle mode that is now a general feature in most fighting games. Play as one of 12 different characters, each with their own distinctive fighting style. Try single-player mode or challenge a friend in this legendary, classic fighting game.

YESSS!!!! God, the hours I put into this on the SNES. It will be mine as soon as I can get to the Wii.

I guess the only downside of this is that it means no enhanced port for the DS. I've read that a lot of material was cut from this game late in development because they couldn't release it on the SNES-CD. The game probably could have benefitted from a redone translation and the restoration of this content (provided it actually was complete or near completion).

This truly is a good time to be a fan of old school RPGs.

One of my al time favorite games. Especially great in co-op mode. Once Yoshi's Island and Tetris Attack come out I can sell my old SNES. Too bad there's no online multiplayer.

Soooo....it SHOULD be available for download now, right? It's yet to show up on my wii shop channel...

Square Enix must really hate this game/franchise if they put it up on the VC for only 800 points instead of doing a remake.

The soundtrack to this game is amazing, the desert and winter areas especially. Is this the second Squaresoft game to be released on VC behind Mario RPG? Hopefully the flood of SNES Final Fantasy games will soon follow...

There's also King's Knight for the NES.

I guess I'll ask this here, I've never played Secret of Mana but I have played Sword of Mana on the GBA and Children of Mana on the DS. Is Secret anything like those? If it is I think I'll pass.

It's much, much better than the games you've played. It's a must-have for action RPG fans.

Secret of Mana was good memories but I made the horrible mistake of playing it again recently.

The game, in reality, is a horrible buggy mess. If it's another lazy ass emulation port do yourself a favour, keep the good memories, memories, and find something else to play.

Good soundtrack though.
