it's that time again for the fantabulous steam weekend deal.

earlier this week they had half life 1 for .98 and now it's all 6 episodes of sam & max (season 1) for $14.99 which is normally priced at $29.99.

if you've never played a sam & max game before, now's your chance!

It would be slightly less to get game tap for 2 months = 10.00, but I guess you might not finish them all, and you would not have them for ever either.

$15 still seems a bit high for Sam & Max, considering it's easily available to get the CD/DVD version for that price or less. $10 would have been a magical pricepoint for S1.

Now season 2 for $15, that would be a cool deal...

I was kinda thinking the same thing about this deal. I just saw the Sam and Max season 1 cd/dvd at target earlier in the week for $10.

Yeah same here. My local Targets have been selling Sam & Max Season 1 in their bin o' jewel cases for $10 for a few weeks now. I'll probably bite on that pretty soon.

Are those Season 1 disks you've been seeing the full season? I've seen several of them at Walmart but they are only Episode 1-3.

Yeah, same here.

$15 seems like a good deal to me, $10 would have been a no-brainer, though. Eh, I'm gonna wait this time around, I have plenty to keep me busy.

You don't have long to wait

Release date: October 14, 2008

As for the Target disc being only episodes 1-3: I didn't look that close. I ASSUMED it was the entire season, but now I doubt it. Bummer.

A boxed copy of the full season is $18 on amazon and contains extras like a poster and a CD comprising of a making of video, trailers, art, comic strips, and a soundtrack sampler.

The one at target just came in a jewel case. Didn't look anything like that one.

I'm almost 100% certain the Target version is the complete 6 episodes for $10. I'll probably pick it up tomorrow so I'll check then.

Yes, to all of those who keep saying it's only $10, that is only for Episodes 1-3
Kinda sucks for me, I just purchased Season 1 from Best Buy for $15 (after $5 rewards certificate), and I usually prefer to purchase my games on Steam

Oh well, it's a good price for anybody who's interested in the series

I would have sworn the one I saw at Target was 1-3, but I wasn't sure. The fact that others have said it is seems to seal the deal, though.

Season 1 consisters of 6 episodes, and can usually be found at B&M stores for under $20.
Not that this isn't worth getting, just because it's such an awesome series of adventure games.

That's what I came in here to say.

I love the Sam and Max, stuff, though, let me add, and if you do decide to pay a little extra, at least know you're supporting fantastic stuff.
