Target has a few video games in their ad that I would like to purchase. I was wondering if Best Buy would price match Target's ad.

I usually never have a problem however sometimes you get the real &$%-hole who tries to say that Target isn't one of their competitors or they insist on calling the nearest Target to check that the item you want to price match is in stock there.

Do they price match by 10%? I know that some stores will do that.

What every BB should do is match the the price plus 10% of the difference of the two prices. For example at Target the game is advertised for $20 and BB is selling it for $40. The price at BB should be $19 (30-20=10 and then 10% of the $10 difference). Sometimes you get lucky and get a dumb cashier or one that simply doesn't care about the company (like I was!) and they'll give you 10% off the final price which usually is more money off (like in my example the game would have then been $18 instead)

Huh? Wouldn't that be $40-$20=$20 and then 10% off of $20, which was the difference? So the final price would be $18?

i just price matched a gba sp i bought from bb with the target gba sp for $88 sale. it took a while, they had to call em and check if it was in stock, the first time for some reason they said i couldnt cause target had never heard of the deal but a second call confirmed it and they did the price match.

I've always had problems trying to get the additional 10% off because the cashiers tell me that the additional money back is only if you find a lower price in a later week's ad. No problems with matching, though.

PM + GGC = YMMV (just hand over $5 off coupon incase the cashier take it but most of them say "NO")
