I'll be picking up Kingdom Crusaders over Fable, still picking up Donkey Konga, don't know what to make of the guy's game score when gamestop and ign reviewed it so high. Also very disappointing score for mario pinball. Thanks for the reviews.

Wow, Mario Pinball may be the lowest scoring Mario title ever.

I don't know about you guys, but EGM's scores always seem very biased and also depends on if the reviewer wakes up on the wrong side of the bed or not. I also find it interesting that EA games get 8.5+

I make up my own mind about games, I think we are all mature enough to do that. I heard about all the Fable reviews, and they all seem great. And I even heard about the 7.5 that ONE reviewer gave it. Isay lets wait and see what millions of gamers have to say.

EGM has always been hard on their reviews. It takes a pretty good game to just earn a silver score (at least an average of 8.0)

That's the way I like it. I hate reviews who hand out "must buy" awards or 8-9 out of 10's to every damn game.

Maybe because most of their games are...I don't know...good? They did trash the latest Medal of Honor game, and the same went for Catwoman.

The more EGM reviews I read the more I realize how non-objective they are.

When it came to HSG:Fore they gave it shit scores simply because they were fanboys of Tiger woods - which was clearly noticable in the way they kept referring to it.

At first I thought EGM/1up were credible, but not anymore.

Like I've always said, read the review, pay attention to the FACTS about the game that relate to your gaming likes and ignore everything else.

Just curious as to how someone obtained this info?...I mean it's September 10th, how did someone get that info this early? I know EGM usually is finished and ready for printing pretty early in the month, but still...

And I was looking so forward to Mario Pinball.

It is nice that a magazine finally had the balls to trash that piece of shit guy game.

that's the same way I feel. For some time now, oh I'd say since 2000 to 2001 (somewhere between there), EGM has been going downhill. Lots of their reviews seeem to be biased like somebody bought them and they seem to give plenty of crappy scores for games that are and seem unbelievable. Mario Pinball for instance, it looks amazing, and I've played a demo of it and just by that I can say that it is a fun pinball sim that at the least deserves a seven. Look at what Nintendo has done on the GBA with Mario Pinball, also Advanced Guarrdian Heroes shoudl be awesome, because I have played the original and that one was awesome.

I think it's more along the lines of comparing it to the best game of the genre. Which is why almost every FPS game is compared to Halo (which is overrated )

What is the month of this issue. I think I just got October.

XBN gave The Guy Game a 0/10. I'd say that's a pretty bad score.

The problem with EGM is that their reviews are like
9 = Great

8 = Cool

7 = It sucks and anything below this number sucks even more, in fact if you buy a 6 you're gay and we dont like you.

I got tired of game that got 7's from them actually being good and worth my money and decided their reviews obviously have only about as much thought put into them as the text next to the number.

(also I think we can all agree the guy game is a racid peice of shite.)

Best game according to who? Them? Last time I checked that is called bias.

I think HSG:Fore is the best game in the genre, I don't care what they think. And last time I checked HSG:fore was in the top 5 best selling games for the month or whatever.

Whats up with the review for Guardian Heroes Advance? I was looking foward to it.

I've been gettin EGM for more than 5 years now and I agree they've gone downhill. This happened right around the time they decided to reformat. It went from a great magazine to a mediocore one. A lot of the old crew left, including Sushi-X. But, I still like their scores because they're different. Most people still misinterperate their scores. A 5 is average for them. NOT a 7, but a 5. That's what people don't understand. Also, they have nothing against the Hot Shots series because they ranked the 2nd game in their Top 100 Greatest Games of All Time and gave the 3rd game a gold.
