I got IL-2 last spring during that Circuit City PC game sale, and I liked it a lot. I thought it was a pretty decent game/simulator. If I remember right, it seems that on some missions there was quite a bit of down time while flying to your target. I remember thinking that it was a really good game, but now that I think about it, it did not keep my interest very long. But that's not uncommon with me...I rarely finish games! In fact, thinking about it makes me want to dig it out and play.

On a side note, I bought a $20 Saitek flight stick from Walmart, and it worked very well with that game. I should dig that out too...

Basically, a ton more games to add to the backlog that I probably won't play until 5 years from now.

I got Bejeweled Deluxe, Luxor 2, Peggle Deluxe, Ghost Master, Sid Meier's Pirates!, Sid Meier's Civilization III: Complete, Rome: Total War Complete Pack, and Dawn of War Platinum Edition.

Portal and Bioshock are great buys at $4.99. If you like game crack, try PuzzleQuest. If you like inventive indie titles, try World of Goo; you can get it as WiiWare for the same as the sale price.

I wanted to pick up some last minute games since it ends today... but geez, took 10 minutes of trying before getting there.

well maybe that means everyone is buying up games and Steam will offer us more gold games

Steam Community is under maintenance, I don't know about the store.

to be fair, the sale was up for how long? almost a week? i would say that's PLENTY of time to pick up whatever you needed to pick up. unless of course you were waiting to be paid or something, and in that case, yeah that would be annoying.

I have to say, this was probably my best deal of the year. Too bad it's gone, I'll look through and regret something.

I was planning on buying Unreal Tournament 3 but it's not that big of a loss for me.

This was hands down the PC gaming deal of the year.

Yeah I get paid today. I was about to pick up my check and go to the bank, come home and buy a few games. I guess it's not happening now.
