Yet they charge the same amount if you want to buy the game disc only or complete. Gamestop! Just another reason why they will be winning Worst B&M retailer in this year's Cheapy awards.

Yeah, either call them out on the hypocrisy, or just take your games back and try somewhere else.

Do you only need a case? Or are they charging extra money for the cover art and booklet missing?...if so, shouldn't they have to go get a case, booklet and coverart for the game before they can resell after buying from you? If its just the case, you can easily pick up a case...or hell, just take a case off your dvds or something.

I cant really blame them though, I wouldnt pay as much for a disc only game as I would for the full complete game.

The games I traded were in DVD cases. I just did not have the cover art and correct cases (they were Wii games).

so then im guessing you need cover art to avoid the 4 dollar charge?

its really probably just whatever they decide...cus as some have said, they hit people with random charges. I have had a random charge one day when i did a big trade in and all my games were in original cases with coverart and booklets, and all discs in mostly good condition, none were any where near unplayable, and all looked better than most games I've gotten there. but after getting into the car and looking at the receipt I noticed a rogue 4 dollar resurfacing charge or w.e, I said whatever and left lol.

but, also, a few months ago, i traded in some completely horrid looking original gamecube and xbox games from hollywood video, missing booklets and looked like the cases looked like they had been run over by cars, and discs were scuffed and scratched and lost possibly cleaned with sandpaper or something, and not one charge of 4 dollars, I shrugged and said "thats cool" to myself and left.

im guessing their policy is just whatever they decide...idk

It's good to get familiar with what stores in your area normally charge reburb fees. I've got one store that I always go to when I'm iffy on whether a game will get hit with a refurb fee. I traded in 2 games from the BBV President's sale that had no cases or manuals, and I got the full TIV for both games.

I called today and got some TIVs:

Well I decided to go down there anyways and trade in some games. Turns out the kid didnt even bother to look or find out evidently, because the deal worked.

Tonight I traded in Rock Band 2, Disc Only (PS3) and got $20 before edge and the $10 bonus for my 3 games.

Since I am fairly new to these Gamestop coupons, I have a question. Are these coupons one time use, or as long as you try different stores etc you are good to go for multiple uses, or what?

Is it just my area, but I could swear that the games without cases are the same prices as ones with cases. so that's pretty ed up to charge $4.00 if you don't have it.

Gamestop can suck my dick, i dont mind buying some games from there, but ill never trade in anything with them, they are a ripoff.
