Will this stick work for PS2 games as well? The Street Fighter Alpha collection, for instance.

Initially the PS3 tournament edition fightstick WILL NOT work with backwards compatible ps2 games. Sony will probably patch it eventually though. The xbox version WILL work with bc games.

I ordered one for PS3. I'm not used to playing fighting games with a stick, but I hope with practice I can see a large improvement. Wonder how long the free shipping is going to take to arrive...

Wow, that's massively disappointing. I really hope they patch that for the ps3 stick immediately. I already ordered, but I guess I will still stick with the ps3 version.

EDIT: Just checked my bank account since I used my Visa Debit card and just like Best Buy, they did authorize the total charge but the authorization will likely fall off in a couple of days and they won't actually process the charge until the sticks ship.
