I got news of a potentially HUGE anime sale scheduled to start at approximately 460 Best Buy stores starting on 3/1/09 through 3/21/09.

ICv2 has obtained a list of the Best Buy stores that will be running 50% off close-out sales on anime beginning March 1st (see “Best Buy’s New Anime Strategy”) (article link is at bottom of this post). The sale will run from March 1st to March 21st and allow these 460+ stores to reduce their SKU count dramatically, as part of the chain’s move to concentrate its anime efforts in stores where anime has performed best.

I'd say probably not but it never hurts to ask if you're in one of the stores that will be doing this sale. The manager may have latitude to say yes in those stores.

Three stores in my area are closing out their anime, though I'm curious why the store closest to me isn't on the list. I guess it does well with anime sales.

Holy shnikes, got one real close to me... gonna see what they have, last I checked they didn't have a lot that was my speed, but definitely gonna be in there on the 1st.

So the chances of me getting Samurai 7 on Blu-ray for 50% off is how good?
And if I buy it now will they let me adjust the price later?
