The NXE isn't slow for me. My console is from mid 2008 and its not one of the newest ones. Cheapy/Wombat whats the manufacture date for your console?

Great show otherwise, and please Cheapy have game themes for podcasts. Please. These song remixes are odd.

I thought it was funny when Wombat said, "It comes with Resident Evil 5, duh!" I direct your attention to the special Halo 360...

Also, regarding the NXE, I don't think it's an issue with the new dash. I think it's problems on the back end. The only time things lag for me are when I'm interacting with LIVE some how. Browsing marketplace content is especially slow for me. I think they need to get the service under control, not make any changes to the interface itself.

Wombat you need to see Slumdog Millionaire its such a good movie

Great show as usual. I'll tell you one thing, I was really surprised how those nearly 2 hours passed so quickly while I was listening to this new episode.

Oh, and Wombat is right, Cheapy, go see Wall-E, it's an awesome movie!

I'm halfway through the cast and either Wombat is the most miserable person ever or his self-esteem is so low he's going to continue this schtick of "OH I SAID IT. LOOK AT ME!" attitude just for the attention every week. Opinions are fine and not everyone needs to think the same but being so obnoxious about it is just annoying. I can't believe anyone would record nearly 2 hours of podcast each week and at the end of it be proud that they were just a douchebag for everyone to hear. Whether it is for the attention or he really is that bitter, it's just pathetic. Each week the show seems to steer this way more and more, and I don't think you need to transparently create controversy to be interesting. Seemingly baiting people is off-putting. I'll continue to listen but it'd be nice if not everything was such a killjoy. Even if things don't change at least this post will make Wombat all giddy seeing his name.

Hey Wombat, you idiot! You missed the whole point of Flower, which isn't surprising from someone dumb enough to like the narratively terrible Wall-E.

The message to Flower has nothing to do with not wasting energy. It has to do with switching to renewable energy so that our energy-hungry lifestyles can co-exist with nature. If you stop powering your PS3 with coal and start powering it with the wind and the sun there's much less of a problem using so much energy to play videogames.

Are you that stupid or did you just never think about any of this for a second in your life? It's really embarrassing that you would gush about the empty, thoughtless environmental pandering in a trash movie like Wall-E on the same episode as you lay into Flower, which actually has a thoughtful, nuanced message.

Unless you're willing to admit that you didn't really play the game or didn't pay any attention while you did, because your view is completely understandable from someone who has heard about the game and maybe seen some videos (particularly the interviews with the creators who come off a bit like dirty hippies) but hasn't actually played it.

Good show as always, guys. As someone with the old-school fat DS, I'm half tempted to upgrade to the DSi. It's either that or getting a Lite when there is a price slash. I can understand the Lite to DSi debate, though.

The 50 Cent game looks like a rental. I've heard it's kind of like an arcade high-score dealie. I can get into that for short bursts at a time, nothing more.

And good old Wombat with the ShamWow and Mighty Putty drops. His fandom for the infomercial genre always makes me chuckle. Especially when you work in a store full of the damn things. (PS Wombat, be glad I didn't send you those Kinokis. What a rip that was.)

Anyways, keep up the good work. You guys help the drive to work and the one from work to school on Wednesday that much more entertaining.

Wombat is much better than the first half. Maybe it's just the feedback section that makes him come off as more bitter than usual. When he's not trying to be an ass I like hearing from him.

Good show, you know we need to hear more from the Internet Space Pimp (or the ISP) and Wombat you need a alter ego name as well.

Agreed. Maybe it had problems when it launched but evidently it's been updated since then. I got my new laptop this summer and it's been excellent.

I don't doubt that you are having problems with the New Guide, but mine works smooth like butter. The "Vista" monicker is overstatment, but really this is why I listen, poop stories and exaggerated opinions.

I appreciate CheapyD and Wombat for giving a warning before giving a spoiler in Flower.

I regularly listen to other game podcasts and the ListenUp (or 1UP yours) podcast ruined to big games for me: Killzone 2 and Flower.

Wombat hits the nail on the head! I was wondering when the CAGCast was going to blow the whistle on this garbage and finally the truth has been spoken:

The NXE Dashboard is SLOW AS HELL. It's like Microsoft took every single lag issue with the original dashboard and pinpointed all of them into the most used functions of XBL: The Friends List and Messaging!

I for one absolutely hate waiting 30-45 seconds each time I want to send a message or start a party. It's been months since NXE came out with no fix so apparently Microsoft considers this to be acceptable.

I second the motion of getting our voices heard through CAG. Cheapy, Wombat, please lead the way, and get Nelson on the CAGCast to deliver an explanation.
