Crash N' The Boys Street Challange is actually pretty awesome, although there are a lot of other games in that series that never made it out of Japan that are superior, like the Ice Hockey game, and the Samurai Game.

Crash N the Boys is a worthy addition to the VC. No seriously. It's part of the Kunio series (AKA River City Ransom).

Also, the Nintendo Channel update is pretty cool. The whole thing's been redone

Oscar in Toyland looks ridiculous. Can't find anything about Art Academy.

You can also stream videos in high def, or whatever their version of high def is. Whatever it is, it looks MUCH better than what it used to be.

The game records are scary, here's mine:
  • Smash Bros Brawl
    • 362 hours, 52 minutes
    • 159 times
  • Animal Crossing: City Folk
    • 158 hours, 19 minutes
    • 55 times
  • Rockband 2 (I have a feeling my roommates left my Wii on here)
    • 100 hours, 10 minutes
    • 17 times
  • The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
    • 79 hours, 29 minutes
    • 41 times
  • Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
    • 66 hours, 36 minutes
    • 16 times

Also ranking up there are Okami and Mario Galaxy. Surprisingly, WiiSports has less than I thought at around 58 hours. I'm also surprised that Animal Crossing is that high, since I only played it from Oct-Dec of last year and haven't touched it since.

A bit offtopic, but is there an expiration to the free 1000 points that I got for buying a DSi? I hope not, because I have no idea what to buy.

The offer will expire at some point, but not the points.

There's a homebrew app that does something similar to what the update does, but it doesn't work correctly on everything. (I think it said I played Wii Sports for negative time or something)

Will give it a shot.

I'll be downloading the Nintendo Channel just for stats. And might as well get some WiiWare games I've had on my list for months while I'm there.

I don't know what it is about pointless stats like this, but I'm drawn to them.
Now if only someone could make a really addictive game that teaches me a useful skillset, like a foreign language. Then the no longer countless hours I devote to entertainment could pay off.

Sweet, I love Street Challenge. It's basically River City Ransom meets Track & Field.

Need to download the Nintendo channel update. Though I'm scared as to what my game stats will be like.

I seriously doubt if this has anything to do with my connection (since I can stream HD stuff fine elsewhere and on my PS3), but has anyone else had buffer issues when playing the higher quality versions on the new Nintendo Channel? I assume it has something to do with the < 500mb internal memory and wanted to see if anyone else is having the same problem.

Yeah , the high quality videos for me stutter really bad , I had to set it to normal mode since high quality was unwatchable. Incidently the normal mode videos usually have to stop and buffer for me at least once per video that I watch , but at least they are watchable.

Looking at my Game Time Stats , my most playes Wii Game is Mario Kart at 45 hours and played around 100 times. Nothing else besides the internet channel or the Shop channel come anywhere close. Apparently I've played lots of games for little time , instead of fewer games for more time lol.

Oddly enough does anyone know about games showing up with time played that you've never played? It shows that I've played Pajama Sam for about 12 hours , yet I don't own nor have ever played the game. I have no idea what that data could be , or why it's there.

I'm really bad at Crash n' the Boys, but it's still pretty cool. It seems like you can upgrade your guys like RCR. It's fun to ram into a hurdle, jump into the air and slam it over the CPU's head. No texted sound effects, though :(

I spent my remaining 500 points on Ninja Gaiden 3, so I can have the complete trilogy.

If anyone wants info about Art Academy DSiWare...

http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail...rPpSc#overview

Art Academy is a portable art course that anyone can join to replace the lecture-like structure of art school, or the trial and error on canvas, with a Nintendo DSi system. Art Academy: First Semester will guide you through the basics of using pencil and paints, which draw like the real things. With your own paintbrush set and color palette, you will learn texturing and blending techniques, along with how to depict light and shade. There is also Free Paint mode where you can select photos from your Nintendo DSi Camera Album to draw from. In just a few lessons, you will be discovering your inner artist and creating your own masterpieces, with art skills that you can apply with real-life materials.

I think I'll buy it.

Downloaded Art Academy, and I'm really impressed. Provides basic principles to an all-ages audience. The first lesson is simple pencil work, and the instructor, Vince, will have you draw an apple. The tools are quite tactile, and I even got out a sketchpad to compare. My in-game artwork looks very much the same as my real-world drawings. And, quite awesomely, the pictures you draw in the game are saved to the DSi's internal memory. You can see them in your photo album and can thus get them off the DSi to share with others folks!
