No wonder people were that much higher than I when I FC'd songs hitting all whammys. Didn't realize people were cheating by pausing...

I am glad I got the Imagine DLC. Even the slow songs are pretty fun. How Do You Sleep?, Oh Yoko!, and Gimme Some Truth are great additions and songs I know that I will continue to want to play.

^ If he was playing pro guitar he may have left because of non-pro songs being selected. Five lane is not too fun on the Pro Guitar.

I wish they'd have some modern songs with keys for DLC.

Give me Ladyhawke, Ting Tings, or Shiny Toy Guns plz.

Now please excuse me while I go brush the bad taste out of my mouth. The least they could do is put this stuff out in addition to shit that is actually NEW to the platform. It's hard not to be at least mildly irked when the only thing being offered to you is shit you have already bought with some added bells and whistles. Quite frankly the coding for the Queen stuff and a lot of other content all should have had the code added for harmonies, pro drums, and (pro)keys in anticipation of RB3 which has been in development since when?

HAMMER TO FALL AND KEEP YOURSELF ALIVE. yeah. Those were the two I mentioned wanting after the first pack came out. Tenement Funster is such a bizarre pick but an awesome song.

Honestly don't care about We Will Rock You & We Are The Champions but I'm probably in for that full pack regardless.

Decent songs, but lame that it's more classic rock.

More lame that they're selling us repeat songs at full price.

Agreed. I could see $1, but not more than that.

I really don't understand why they can't just charge $1 for a RB3 upgrade. Even if you have to download the track all over again to add the keys and possibly newly updated guitar charts, that's fine. They say they don't have a mechanism in place to do this yet, but I don't see any reason why they couldn't figure it out. The Rock Band store already knows what songs you already own so it can't be that difficult. I guess the only thing we can do now is not repurchase songs we already own. Hell, I won't even buy any of the back catalog for now on since I have no way of knowing whether or not a RB3 version of the song will come out the next week.

This! First Skynyrd, now more Queen? I love you, HMX!

It has to have something to do with the songs being on a disc. That is the only thing I can think of since the only time they have done it is for those type of songs.

Um, no. That whole Queen "RB3 enhanced pack" is all songs from the first big Queen DLC pack (which I eagerly bought on day one) are they not? Harmonix can go themselves if this is how they're going to treat people who've been supporting the "platform" and keeping it alive when they didn't have a new game on the shelves to drive revenue.

I love RB as much as the next guy, but asking people to buy songs all over again just for harmonies and keys is ridiculous. It annoyed me when they did it with Bon Jovi, but this proves it's going to be a recurring theme. If they want to ensure that the genre dies, this is how to do it: piss off the people who never stopped playing your game.

Yeah you are right. I totally spaced out on the enhanced pack. That is total bullshit and I am in agreement with you on that. The L:RB tracks and the Bon Jovi shit I can somewhat understand, but that other Queen pack does piss me off.

I'm thinking about drafting up a letter on behalf of CAG to send over to Harmonix about this whole DLC situation. I bet that if we as a community got behind it, we might be able to get sites like Joystiq or even the Consumerist to post it as well. Just an idea because this situation really infuriates me.

Frankly I'm completely done with RB DLC from this point on. I was going to get a keyboard adapter but decided against it since it won't work with any of the songs I have unless I pay for them again. And the songs on disk are fun enough but not enough to start buying more instruments.

I'm super dissapointed in how this is going down, but with RB2/RB3 I still have a lot of songs I can play if I want to, but I'm just about ready to be done with this. I guess I'd be more excited if I thought that for $1/song I could get keyboards added (or pro guitar or all of it).

They must have known that they were adding harmonies and keyboard into RB3 when the Queen pack came out late last year. So they went ahead and released it anyways knowing they would charge us full price again for harmonies and keys? Seems like a dick move and kind of stupid considering that the early adopters they're shitting on are some of the only people left who still give a shit about their game. The least they could do is roll pro keys and harmonies into the $1 pro guitar and bass legacy upgrades.
