Holy shit what a good week! 5/5 for sure

Maybe in for Paparazzi but holy shit at that Ozzy pack. Must get for that.

Now DLC is finally picking up

Though, not a fan of how they are doing the Ozzy tracks. Of course, the two most recognized songs would be the exclusive ones... That price better be good or this might bust on them.

In for all the Lady Gaga tracks. I really wish Judas or Brown Eyes was in there, though.

I went from buying probably half of the Ozzy tracks to not buying any of them. Forcing you to buy a full bundle to get "exclusive" songs is the worst idea Harmonix has come up with since the Green Day game. that shit. Hard.

Now, I didn't check but I'm assuming it's the usual pricing for a bundle like this, which means it probably works out to getting a song and a half for free (or whatever), so on the basest level that takes some of the sting out of it. However, it's not really about that. If this pack sells like crazy, you know they'll try to pull this shit with other big name artists in the future.

I will be voting with my wallet. I hope anyone else disturbed by this does the same and doesn't just cave because "OMG I WANT IT!!!" or whatever.

No offense, but it's always good to read the details before forming your opinion. Harmonix is claiming that people will be "very happy" with the price for this bundle. Now, one can only assume that would indicate something beyond the standard pack discount, but who knows. I agree that offering certain songs only as part of a bundle will alienate customers, but lets at least see what kind of deal they're going to give us before we condemn it completely.

The only price I would be "very happy" with would be 800 M$ pts. Any higher and I wouldn't even consider it.

The price is irrelevant. I don't care what kind of deal they think they are giving us, I don't want forced bundles.

The only way the price is acceptable to me is if the bundle is 480 points since I only want 3 songs; one of which is bundle only. And there's no way the bundle is going to be that price.

If someone wants all/most of those songs, I'm not saying don't buy it. I'm saying if someone doesn't like this idea, just giving in and buying it will not help prevent it in the future.

That's fine. My point was just that they're saying it's not going to be "usual pricing". Whether that makes any difference at all remains to be seen.

Changing the subject, I finally got around to picking up a pro guitar. I went with the MadCatz, because while the Squier is nice, I have no use for it outside of the game since I own three electric guitars already. Pro mode is simply where it's at. As much as I've enjoyed drums and keys, I feared pro guitar was going to be too much. But the game does a great job handling all of the info, and it's so customizable (speed, sections, difficulty, chord help, etc), I can't see anyone not enjoying it. And it's a great way to learn...probably better than lessons, honestly.

It was also an odd sensation having this complex controller, but being able to jump right in and start playing. I've been finding myself much more compelled to just play the same song over and over knowing that I'll do better each time because I'm actually learning the song. Then, I can just pick up one of my real guitars and do the same thing. That's a pretty awesome feeling.

YES! I would really love Speechless, too. They should really do a larger track pack for Gaga, I'd buy the whole pack day 1. She doesn't have a song that I wouldn't love to have in the game.

I hope Yoko finds another one of John's lost tapes or other piece of shit she can sell so the likelihood that more Beatles DLC is released goes up. Or, "Oh, a demo of something George was working on was found and Ringo and Paul are going to take a demo of John and mash them up and holy shit it'll be the greatest thing because Lord knows we don't have enough goddamn money."

When The Beatles Rock Band came out they were releasing the stereo mixes. Maybe they should remix them into 5.1 channel sound or remix all songs with a yodeler.

Whatever it takes. I just want them to have some excuse to release more Beatles DLC in coordination with whatever other lost Beatles shit they want to cash in on.

DLC is already out for this week.

Debating if I want Gaga and I have no idea why I'm even contemplating get it.

I couldn't care less about her or her music, but Harmonix is smart to release it as DLC. You want as many people under the Rock Band umbrella as possible.

Also I ing had my save file corrupt on me. Went to download some stuff from the past few weeks I missed and found out that my profile was toast. Needless to say I was a little pissed.

Hope the ozzy pack is 680 ms points or less and even then, with full albums on sale as part of the dotw it'll get some people back into the game. I wish they'd fix the store in a sense to be able to shop by price (lowest->highest and such) as I've looked for songs @ 89 ms points and only The Mother Hips had good dlc for that price.
