Well, you gotta figure everybody is trying to download it right now too. Speed's are probably going to be a little slower than normal.

He said he was in a hotel and the speed sucks.

Oh well, can't wait to try it out, after work tonight. Almost more excited to play these in RB3 now that I think of it...

I'm took it as he meant it took awhile due to the multiple large files. Oh well, not trying to pick things apart. All is well.

What sucks is that to get it on the Xbox I mainly want it on, I have to download it twice. Well, I want it on both of our Xboxes, but I mostly play on the other one. My kids mostly play on the main one. So I need to download it first to the main Xbox, then redownload on the 2nd one. 1st world problems.

OK, so...what controls are people using? Having a hard time deciding. Using the triggers for notes seem like response time is too high, and the a/b buttons imduce incredible hand fatigue, at least for me. The a/b way also makes two-note presses kind of awkward.

Fortunately, as I hoped, how to play the game becomes pretty easy to figure out after just two or three plays.

Game is kind of fun. It's still a track pack as far as I'm concerned, but it comes with a neat little game as a bonus. Wish they built the friends list challenge stuff into RB3.

I've been using the triggers to change tracks and the left/right sticks to play the notes. It feels awkward, but I think I'll eventually get used to it. I do keep screwing up though and getting the controls flipped around, pressing a trigger to play a note, and trying to switch tracks with the sticks. I think the concept is just new.

I been using LB/RB and the sticks. The game is actually more fun then I thought it would be.

And I meant loading your tracks in when it starts the first time takes awhile, the download speed wasn't that bad.

I Use d-pad and A button. This game is giving me no blinking syndrome...

Gonna try to stick with "Freakish" (triggers for notes, d-pad to switch). Still worried about response time but it's the only way I'm currently able to play where I don't accidentally mix stuff up.

I went with the default. Use the d-pad and A as button presses.

So far not a fan of Blitz. I am not sure where I am going wrong. I can't get over 4 stars.

Oh... and Dragonforce's Through the Flames restored some faith in the game. It was fun.

Strategy is very much song dependent, it seems. For example, at the beginning of the song, do you try to take all tracks to 4x or do you try to take them to 2x? On some songs, you don't have time to take them all to 4x, at least as far as I can tell, so you go ahead and get that level cap as high as you can right off the bat.

There's strategy in choosing whether or not to bail on a track, when to get multipliers up, and when to deploy power ups. You really have to learn the song first, map out when to deploy a powerup, then "buy" your power up with those stupid coins. Or I could just have it all wrong at this point.

I like the game, but I do think it's missing something from not having three notes. Playing the actual notes is not as fun as planning out your strategy, but the strategy is enough to enjoy it at this price point. And I'll be playing some of the 25 songs in RB3 later.

I'm not feeling it so far. My brain needs to be completely rewired for this. Switching tracks is like trying to pat my head and rub my belly at the same time. It's not intuitive at all.

It's not horrible, but it doesn't feel inspired at all. At least there are some okay tracks for RB3.

Isn't it possible to hide tracks? So help me, if I even hear a sample of that "Shine" song...

It's been awhile since I had a game where the walls started crawling. I Think the weird problem I have with the game is that in my head I feel I'd have more fun playing these songs on Rock Band 3 then in this.

im having lots of fun with Blitz, it takes a while but you kinda get the hang of it and you just need to play all of the instruments equally and not concentrate on only 1 instrument. Wish it has online play in it though. It's still a fun way to play Rock Band if u don't want to spend the money on all of the instruments

Using "Freakish" (should've called it Freq-ish as it's similar to Frequency's setup). Much better than trying to rely on the crap dpad.

Not... really feeling it so far. It's alright, but seems way dumbed down/casual. Not to beat a dead horse but the two note highways are just stupid and boring. I've never been someone who went for score attack kind of modes, and that's pretty much all this game is. Also hate that power ups cost coins, and coins aren't that easy to get. Ah well it's a fun toy and I'm glad to have the songs in RB3.

This! There's just no feeling of skill/accomplishment in this (from what little I've played so far).

Sticking with Freakish...triggers as notes / dpad to switch I guess. Just can't seem to force myself to use the dpad as a note "button."

Starting to rewire my brain and understanding more. You really have to learn to let go of the gotta hit every note mentality. I've only managed to get 5 stars like one time so far. A lot has to do with maximizng use of your power ups.

Yeah. I also wouldn't mind having Moves Like Jagger erased from my personal existence. And everyone involved in creating it being murdered.

Is there a way to play Blitz with the songs from RB1 and RB2 without buying RB1 and RB2? Can I buy DLC song packs from those 2 games for Blitz?

Borrow someone's RB1 disc and pay the $5 export fee. RB2 had unique codes that can only be used once to export, so you'd need an unused code.
