Okay, I traded in alot of things today and the credit I got sounded right. I got home and looked at the receipt and they gave me credit for a wired controller instead of a wireless controller and a play and charge cord! Is there anything I can do about this? I would have got $6.00 more!

Off topic question:
Does anybody know how to searh the Gamestop inventory system to look for a used PS3 slim? I might pick up one to be my Blu-ray player in the bedroom if I can find one.

You could probably sell that on here for more than GS would give you and it'd be cash as opposed to their credit since many people(myself included) really want one of the BC models.

P.S. Uncharted 2 TIV is apparently $25 which is a complete rip off imo.

it should have as both those games are on the list. i would go back with a copy of the list and they should honor it by overriding the total since the computer didnt do it automatically.

I think I'm pretty much done with Gamestop. After picking up a new 360 with HDMI and new warranty on the Walmart deal, I went to Gamestop to trade in my old 360, which is 3.5 years old but working fine. They start looking at it, take off the front piece, and say that it's missing a sticker on the power button so it must have been modded and they can't take it.

I'm confused at this point, as I bought it new, it's not modded, and have never even taken off the front cover, not to mention there's another sticker right next to the one they're looking for that obviously hasn't been touched. I mention this to them and they say it's corporate policy, they can't take a 360 without a sticker on the power button period. I'm pissed at this point so I just grab it and get out of there, but now I'm gonna have to ebay or craigslist the thing, and I really didn't want to deal with the hassle.

Though I haven't been as much the last couple years, I've been going to that gamestop for a long ass time, and I've decided I'm just done with it. They're not seeing another cent from me if I can help it.

Is there no Gamestop coupon this weekend?

That definitely sucks. I'm pretty sure in the past week or so there was a memo sent out to the stores to be more thorough in checking the consoles especially warranty stickers. Most of the stores I use to go to regularly they never really checked for that. With the huge banhammer that has went out the past two weeks GameStop corporate knows that is where a lot of modders are going to try and dump their banned consoles. I'm not saying you are one of them, just explaining why they are being more anal about those things.

Go to another Gamestop or even at the same place, just when a different employee is working there.
Chances are they will not check for that sticker that original employee was looking for.

Agree with WTFer. Take it to another store, or at least to a different employee. If it's not really modded, then chances are you'll have no problem trading it in.

Indeed. Unfortunately, we all will get hassled, due to the dishonesty of assholes who modded their consoles and get themselves the boot in the last round mass banning. I know most of us aren't in love with Gs, but you can't blame them for trying to protect themselves here.

As someone else said, I would just bring the console back to the store when that employee isn't there or bring it to another GS. They likely were unsure about taking it in, because it's gonna be on his/her head if it's a dud.
