Yes. Probably not absolutely necessary, but it doesn't hurt. Just don't abuse it repeatedly at the same store.

People might be concerned about a possible issue with Little King's Story, that at least, Amazon is dealing with.

Here's the product page for it:
http://www.amazon.com/Little-Kings-S...dp/B001COVME6/

Listed on the product page is this warning notice:

People who bought it when it was a DOTD have had some bad disc issues:
http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=235948&page=3

Other people seem to have an issue with it as well:

Great coupon- too bad I don't want NFS:Shift
Old 09-17-2009, 07:22 PM   #27
What exactly is to stop you from returning NFS:Shift at the store down the road after using this coupon?

Nothing. Now we're just waiting on a good TOTD to cash in on.

As far as I know, Amazon was the only vendor who people had issues with, though I got mine there and played 30 hours without issue.

Hmm. Afrika is on the Trade 2 for NFS: Shift but doesn't come out till after the promo. I never thought that game would see the light of day here. Glad to see it's finally coming out though I would prefer the underwater ocean one instead of Afrika.

I don't understand Little Kings Story. What's the problem with it?

Anyway, the trade 2 games get NFS for $20 is pretty weak as well. The list of eligible games has dropped by half since the last time they did this.
Old 09-17-2009, 08:28 PM   #33
So that trade 2 promo is pretty terrible. Are there even games on there that get less than $15 trade? Yeah, I think I am going to trade Batman: AA and Beatles: RB so I can get NFS for $19.99. Extra lame promo

Do you live in fantasy land? Modern warfare is 20 dollars on CL at minimum out here, left for dead at least 15 for disc only, and i do see halo 3 for 15 at times. But after your done paying guess and all that time; what the heck are you saving?

If your fantasy land has an address, hook me up. Im looking to move

I guess i'm in the minority too, i'd take the gba coupon over deals like this week's any day...though you could call me lazy since i don't wanna go through the trouble of buying/returning NFS

Lets play a game. Its called Lets See How Many Weeks in a Row We Can Dodge a Legitimate Coupon! This coupon blows... hard. I could probably just get Shift and return it at another store, but do I even want to be bothered? Then I have to tie up $60 in credit and hope that I don't have to return everything.

It's mind boggling to me that for three weeks after the PS3 slim has boomed onto the scene, they still have made absolutely no effort to market the used PS3 section.

Well aren't we spoiled? I remember 4 or 5 years when gamestop had no coupons at all and you were SOL when it came to get any kind of deal from them.

That also was a time when there were stores that they didn't buy out. I had other stores I could have and did buy from. Their B2G1 promotions and the like were far more frequent, and when they weren't, they were at the competitors.
