I don't believe there's any way for a store to override or cancel this.

If you go to a Walmart this week and see an Arcade in the case, you're good to go for the deal.

Basically, when you go to check out, the register will prompt for the card. Period.

Wow, I might have to try to get in on that, just to prepare for the inevitable next RRoD. Thanks, Cheapy!

May also be worth noting that the same scan has a Sharp 52" 120HZ TV for $898. I mean, yeah, it's a Sharp, but still...may not be a bad deal for people on a budget.

here's a link to the likely product: http://www.walmart.com/Sharp-52-LCD-...UN/ip/11070378

Just saw this on Kotaku. Just purchased an Arcade at BB at $200 three weeks ago b/c my other E74'd!

$100 for a back up unit sounds very tempting, especially if you have to pay MSFT $100 to fix a unit that isn't covered under warranty...

$100, that's uprageous! I might have to step into the current gen console now...I usually enter it when it hits the $100 mark.

Now I just have to remember which pawn shop I saw a used 360 hard drive for $20 at...

Might buy a second 360 in this case but I'd really prefer an Elite.

E74 is covered under 3 year warranty now, they even retro-actively refunded my $100 repair fee. months later.

Wow, that's an awesome deal. Wish I had the money to blow right now. As much as I hate helping MS sell more consoles, I really should replace my piece of shit before the warranty finally runs out.

oh i know, I just meant in case you surpassed the 3 year warranty or if they try to give you an excuse that for some reason your unit isn't covered. That's sweet you got a refund!

And I would also say that anyone getting one has a 99.9% chance of getting a jasper, unless you go somewhere that hasn't been restocked in a year. Just look for a Netflix logo b/c that is all over the new packaging.

Well, I guess I know what I'm buying later today in order to return/rebuy on Saturday. 360 in the bedroom? Yes please.

I know these get asked about every time a nice deal comes along, but I know *nothing* about the Arcade unit.

These have HDMI now, right?

So, how simple is it to take the HDD from my current 360 and move it to the Arcade unit? I really want to do this, since my current console has no HDMI. Maybe I could sell it and make back some cash too. I can't really remember what hoops I'd have to jump through with DLC and such (DRM).

Yeah, the new ones have HDMI. The hard drives snap on & off so that isn't a problem. Think if you play online you don't have to worry about the DLC. Otherwise, you'll just have to transfer the license to the new console.

Not sure about the HDMI part, but for the Hard drive part its really easy. For the arcade thers just a plastic covering over the hard drive area but its an easy remove and then you just put in your hard drive like you normally would.
