So I just got Force Unleashed Sith Edition and I was going through the character selection screen and a question popped in my head. Why, in Star Wars cannon, does Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker wear tight fitting clothing, while all the other Jedi Knights where lose, flowy clothing, with the robes and what-not? Is there an actual reason for this?

Ceremonial shit I'd guess. Luke was more or less after the primetime of Jedi's... at least from what I know.

Fashion changes over time... even for Jedi Masters.

Luke would be wearing skinny jeans in our time. All the other Jedi's would want comfort with loose fitting jeans. But all Skywalker cares about is fashion.

The kid lived on a shitty desert planet for 18 years isolated from the galaxy before he joined the Alliance.

Once he got to see the galaxy and had the Alliance backing his clothing stipend, he upgraded.

Let it go dummy

Luke is the man he does and wears what he wants. If he was Wearing a little pink dress in Return Of The Jedi he would still be bad ass.

Probably due to an arbitrary decision by costume designers I would assume.

Only reason is on the production side of film-making and allowing the audience to instantly recognize him. If he were wearing the same stuff as the others, it'd be more difficult to distinguish him. Boring answer, I know, but I'm sure there's some Star Wars fanatic who can come up with something better.
