I was wondering if some of you could lend some advice as to how to find these famous flea markets where we're picking up video gaming treasures for pennies on the dollar. I have no idea how to go about finding or locating a flea market. Are they in the paper?

where do you live? usually, i'd assume you just know about them. for example, i live in the middle of jersey, and i've just kind of always known about the englishtown auction and the route 18 auction. in the decade or so i've been here, i never heard or saw anything about either place, aside from word of mouth.

I bought Splinter Cell for PS2 about 3 week's after it was released at a flea market for $5.00. It was loose, no case or instructions. I picked up Metroid fusion 2 weeks ago for $3.00

Yes they would be in the classifieds section of your local paper, or you can look in the phone book.

Also check into thrift stores and pawn shops.

You won't something every time you go, but keep checking back as your next trip might uncover that gem.

The last good deal I found at a flea market/ Yard sale type place was a like new and complete copy of the Sega Genesis game Phantasy Star 4....The guy was asking $1 each for the games, (got a couple sonics and Comix Zone as well)...but I talked him down to 0.50 a game. Yay for me!

I loved reading some of your "finds" and "gems" and "deals"....I'm going to start a thread in the Game Discussion to hear all about them. Start posting some stories there.

Yep. You seem to be about equal distance from both the Taylor and Mt. Clements Gibraltars. I'm only about 5 miles away from the Mt Clements one, so I go there every weekend there is a Sports Card or Computer Show.

On top of it, there are quite a few pawn shops around... and down on Gratiot in D-town you have one of the largest pawn shops in the world ... rivaled only by some of the pawn shops in Vegas.

They use to have a store around here that sold games and toys really cheap. One time I bought some computer games for $1 a piece. When the Super Nintendo was selling for $150 at the other stores they had them for $60. The store closed.

Last time I went to my local flea market they had a ton of assault rifles, several handguns, and a few bolt action rifles with scopes.

Local people scare me.
