I just wanted to update my adventure today. Went to two other Sears. No PSP Go Pearl Whites, sorry everyone, and that digital camera was nowhere to be found. Google shopping shows three other Sears that have them listed for $79.99 but are out of stock. No clue why my store had such a huge difference in price |

Tried one store today near the outskirts of Boston. The guy vehemently denied that there was any stock at his location. I asked him if he could check the warehouse where I go for merchandise pickup. He chortled and said all his stock is out here. I gave him the number from my sears e-receipt for him to check stock. Again he said he had none... but punched in the number.
Sure enough, there were 2 in stock. He muttered something and then called one of the warehouse guys. They exchanged pleasantries and the guy asked if he had any psp go's in the warehouse. The guy on the other side replied almost immediately no... end of story, at that point he refused to help me any more. These guys sucked worse than the guys at the gallieria!! I just know that 6-9 months down the line, i'll see these psp's on the shelf somewhere marked on clearance.

The only time I see people buying games at Sears is during the holiday season or if a new popular game was just released and everyone else is sold out so some people go to Sears probably after checking Gamestop and other stores.

Didn't someone say the points cards in the plastic prisons were on clearance? When I took a 1600 points card to the register it rang up as $24.99 LoL!
No go on PSP Go (south St. Louis County mall) but I did get Motorstorm: Arctic Edge on PSP for $2.97 + tax. |

I have never seen anyone else buying games in Sears either, I have taken family there to buy games and accessories as gifts since the games are sealed unlike gamestop and the accessories are at worst, MSRP, and stores like TRU and sometimes Gamestop charge more than MSRP for a lot of accessories. I have never seen anything priced more than MSRP at Sears. I have however seen people buy TV's there, I have to say they are possibly the most incompetent people at selling TV's that I have ever seen, you are probably better off at Walmart. If you try to get a TV there trust me on this, it will be either out of stock, or they can't find it in the back or wherever they keep the TV's. I have been game shopping so many times and seen so many people have problems with just getting a TV out of Sears that I can't even begin to talk about how many times I have seen it. I don't think I have actually ever seen anyone successfully pay for and purchase a TV in Sears, but I have seen many people try (and yes I know I think you pick up your TV at the warehouse part so I wouldn't be able to see anyone walk out with a TV if I was just shopping electronics)! I have also seen many arguments about appliances, loud enough for half the store to hear. Overall, don't use Sears for the large stuff, and you should be OK. |

Looks like there is one in the Thousand Oak, CA Sears. A bit out of my way, so I thought I'd share for someone else to snag it.

In case you guys didn't know, Sears stores can do store transfers on items to a location closer to you.

Yeah it's probably huge ymmv on employees offering to help but worth a shot.
If clearance prices vary between the 2 stores I would think you'd pay the price of whatever it is at the store you have it transferred TO but I am not sure. I called some national sears center and the guy was really helpful. Last edited by thebytewasbit; 03-13-2012 at 01:37 PM.. |

Had to drop my car off at sears auto, so I needed a pick me up. I walked through the clearance section at my sears and got a good laugh at their 55-45$ clearance games
