Shutter Island was a total mind. I wish I'd read the book, but it's on my short list to read.

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief -- It wasn't that bad of a movie. And I think what aided it is that I am replaying through the God of Wars so I was into the mythological background.

Do it. It's incredibly satisfying to watch when you know everything that happens. There are a lot of moments that you will be going "OH!!!!". Good times. It was great to see it with my friend who had no idea what to expect, who was totally stunned.

Hunger - It was decent. Michael Fassbender gives a very demanding performance, if nothing else

Some Like It Hot - A fantastic movie, I can see why people call it one of the best ever. I think it may have the perfect ending.

Black Dynamite-

Absolutely ing hilarious. Old school 70's Blaxploitation mixed with kung fu parodying both. Completely ridiculous and over the top. Reminds me a lot of HotD: Overkill, which I loved.

mild example without spoiling too much is when Black Dynamite pimp slaps Patricia Nixon.

Just hit DVD, highly highly recommened.

Because it's crap and you're only deluding yourself. I saw this last year at a "private screening" in Vegas (you can find out tidbits about it on the net) by Warner, in which everybody left the theatre disappointed and basically said how much they hated. I heard that since then they've yet again edited the film to try to make it better, if that's possible, but the entire things a turd and makes look down on Benicio del Toros acting. Also, it seems like a lot of Hollywood's true actors who can act, i.e. Ben Kingsley and Anthony Hopkins, seem to be loving taking on these shitty ass roles for a quick buck. At least Michael Caine still appeases.

Anyway, went and saw Shutter Island. Could have seen it at an advance screening elsewhere, but was busy so went and so it with some friends. Absolutely awesome. The reviewers are going to hate themselves this weekend/down the line in the future. This was an exceptional film that hearkens back to many of the great noir masterpieces that, to any film lover, are fairly evident and easy to pick up. It's reminded me of Tarantino's work where you can always pick up nuanced homages to other works. also, loved all the red herrings in the film. I picked up on several throughout the film, but unlike Sherlock Holmes, some definitely through me for a loop. Another great work from a living legend of film.

What part?

Obviously do not click if you haven't seen the movie.

His final quote "Is it better to die a good man, or live life as a monster?"

Right, I don't know if He really did kill his wife and acted like he was still a Marshall on purpose in order to die, or if they were really messing with him and he didn't want to give in so he willingly went with it

He was "cured", but he played dumb so they'd lobotomize him. He'd rather die for a cause than live knowing what he'd done.

This is exactly how I took it, although me and my lady had a 20 minute conversation about it so I guess it could be open to interpretation.

Yeah, that was a good one. A lot of people hate it though. While I'd say it's a somewhat misleading movie with a cliche twist, I would still chalk it up to one more foreign horror movie that shames domestic horror releases. Wolf Creek, The Descent, and Let The Right One In are some other international heavyweights I'd recommend.

One I have yet to see (kinda dodging it because I hear it's tough to watch) is Eden Lake.

So if He really did do that stuff, then what was with the body on the bottom of the cliff and also did he really meet the real Rachel?

Edge Of Darkness. I am a Gibson fan, but I must say this was a bit of a let down. Not a horrible movie by any means, but nothing great either. The trailer shows all the best parts.
