If you want some campy (straight to video) fun watch the sequels, especially the third one. I haven't seen them in 10 years but I had a great time watching them.

The Slammin' Salmon - Another movie from the Broken Lizard guys. I found it quite funny, not on the level of Super Troopers or Beerfest but damn close.

Alice in Wonderland

Meh, was an OK movie. Not bad at all, but pretty by the numbers.

Bruiser - 3/5 - Supposedly Romero's favorite film that he made. Not sure if its because he had fun making it or thinks its his best work. Overall the movie is decent. The story is interesting enough to keep you guessing what is happening. The best parts of Bruiser include Peter Stormare. He is seriously funny throughout the film. I guess I hoped for a bit more gore & violence for a film like this.

Oh... the ending has a death laser that can be rented for party events. The laser is 'twice as hot as the sun' which can blow a hole through someones head. Not sure how someone can rent that for a party but the result of blowing a hole in someones head is very underwhelming.

Zombieland. It was alright, nothing great. Shaun of the Dead is much better as far as slapstick zombie movies go.

Zombieland- the interactions (especially early on) between Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg are a riot. Definitely in my top 3 favorite zombie movies. Most fun I've had watching a movie since I saw the Hangover when it first came out in theaters.

I didn't get to celebrate St. Patties day at a friends house and won't on the actual day so... I'm watching The Boondock Saints now.

I don't know what the best part is The cat being blown away or Willem Dafoe in bed with the gay asian. lol

The Boondock Saints II - 8/10

Got a hold of this movie. I was skeptical of this being good so I had pretty low expectations. It was really touch and go in the beginning, but this movie turned out to be pretty damn awesome. Julie Baez was a nice surprise too

Finally sat down and watched Pan's Labyrinth for the first time. I liked it a lot, though I was hoping for it to be a little more focused on the fantasy aspect. Still though, great movie, I love when filmmakers make badass looking creatures/sets without relying solely on CGI. It looks so much better that way, especially in beautiful high definition

Also, nothing against the movie, but I'm starting to realize that these pretentious-type films really don't have as much hidden meaning in them as they'd like us to think. Nothing specific, at least; it's more what you, the viewer, are able to take from it, though I suppose, as a filmmaker, being able to craft a story from which the viewer can extract their own message is an art in itself.

Zombieland was better than I expected and Emma Stone is in it, she is so beautiful and she has that low and deep passive aggressive voice. It just turns me on!

I think Zombieland surprised a lot of people. Emma Stone is a very attractive young woman, and I think she's got a lot of potential to have a great film career as long as she doesn't go down the same drug-laden, party all the time, public-drunkenness path that a lot of the young starlets are taking now. Here's to Zombieland 2!

I wouldn't say Ghost Town is awesome, but its a pretty good movie. Worth a rental if you like Ricky Gervais.

Beer Wars. Pretty interesting documentary about the beer industry and the challenges for craft brewers. It's in HD on Netflix Instant Watch.

The Collector - 2/5 - wow this was boring. Story began somewhat interesting but then randomly 'the collector' is also inside this house who set up a billion traps a la Saw so anyone who run through the house will get killed. I don't understand how or why he set up the traps since its not explained. Just family is tied up downstairs and then there is now a million traps inside the house for no apparent reason. Its a good movie for the first 10-20minutes but after that is gets bad....fast. Definitely don't bother w/ this one.

An American Werewolf In London - It was alright, it needed more werewolf and less weird dreams and hallucinations. The kills weren't very impressive either, but I guess they couldn't really show much of them because of the limitations of the werewolf prop.
