Watched Apocolypto again, really was a great movie -- I don't think I appreciated it that much in the past.

9/10

Piranha - 3/5 - It delivered all the stupid jokes, death to all douchebag characters and the gorgeous Kelly Brook. I really can not complain. There are a few pretty cool deaths, Eli Roth's was noteworthy. The movie sorta just ended out of nowhere...really thought they would tack on an extra 30 minutes but nope...just ends. The ending is a lot like those fantastic SyFy monster movies I have come to love. No matter how bad Piranha's story was I was bound to find some enjoyment out of it because of Kelly Brook. I could watch her read a telephone book tbh.

Dinner for Shmucks - Way funnier than I expected considering I'm totally over Steve Carrell's shtick.

Touching Home - Fairly generic inspirational stuff with a dash of Ed Harris.

Easy A - Emma Stone is gorgeous, but what happened to Amanda Bynes, her face looks like a chipmunk. Decent movie...or at least it was until an hour in, when the stupid rental dvd crapped out.

I'm glad to see another person who can appreciate the stuff Asylum puts out, along with SyFy. I did enjoy Piranha as well, but I'd love to see Aja go back and direct an original idea, since Haute Tension was pretty much flawless except for a lacking end.

CANDY - As much as I love Requiem for a Dream, it's just too hard to sympathize with drug users. I can understand getting out of an addiction can be a difficult, arduous process, but is it really impossible to stay away from heroin and the likes in the first place? Candy was pretty depressing, though. 3.5/5

Four Lions - Had its moments, probably controversial given it's a comedy about Jihadi suicide.

Big - Great movie, I can't believe I waited this long to watch it.

The Social Network - It was good, but I don't think it was as good as everyone makes it out to be. No way should it be considered for Academy Awards nominations, besides the soundtrack. Timberlake's character was unbearably annoying, I hated his "I'M SO COOL" persona.

Dinner For Schmucks - Surprisingly funny. It looked terrible but decided to give it a shot and I'm definitely glad I did.

Inception, thought it was really good. I wished Hollywood would make more big budget movies with original ideas instead of sequels and comic book movies

True Grit - I actually really liked it. I was worried I wouldn't since I didn't like a certain other movie they made, but it was actually really good.

Hunt to Kill - 2/5 - Steve Austin hunts to kill. Needed more Gary Daniels doing martial arts and a lot less head villain guy talking. Obviously the highlight of the movie is where Austin fights Daniels which is awesome. Just takes way to long to get there...and there is too much movie afterwards. :(

Unthinkable - 4.5/5
Never heard a word about it until someone recommended it. Amazing movie! Disappointed that it didn't get much, if any coverage.

A Perfect Getaway - Good, the twist was surprising and welcome.

Black Swan - Fantastic movie. I really enjoyed this, much more than I thought I would. This movie had an incredible amount of creepiness, weirdness and psycho shit going on at all times. Natalie Portman did a great job, this movie deserves lots of Academy Award noms.

Pirate Radio aka The Boat That Rocked - Really enjoyable, especially if you like pop music from the 60s. Great cast of characters as well.

The Green Hornet - Really good. Refreshing to have a different take on the super hero genre. It had a ton of genuinely funny moments carried by Seth Rogen who does a great job in his role. Kato is decent I guess. The villain is the same guy from Inglorious Basterds(the german)with a much welcomed personality and motivation. I didn't expect much from the film and just barely got in(last seat in the theater) but it was great. The 3D is pretty meh so don't bother with it.

Burning Bright - 3/5 - My one friend asked me if I heard of this movie last week. I said no...then he explained the concept. A siberian tiger is wandering around a house with 2 people trapped inside. Pretty obvious why I had to see this movie. Sadly Burning Bright not as good as you want it to be. Its a very interesting concept with some humor, especially when the stepfather takes all the money out of this bank account to 'change the house into a safari ranch'. Yep...change their HOUSE into a SAFARI RANCH...ugh! The child actor in the movie was pretty dreadful but Briana Evigan was pretty good throughout. I guess I would have liked the film more if there was more explanation and story. Instead you are left with a barebones story and a tiger busting doors down to eat some kids. Burning Bright is definitely an original idea which is probably why it was made, sadly it lacked substance in the story to truly stand out.

I concur. My roommate and I were at a Redbox looking for something to watch that evening and he saw that and I figured with Samuel Jackson and Carrie Anne Moss, it couldn't be too bad. Turns out it was pretty fantastic. I strongly recommend it.

Devil.

The thing is, it did suck. I stayed far away during its theatrical run because M. Night Shyamalan's name was attached. And the last good movie he made was Unbreakable ten years ago. I decided to give it a rent anyway and it wasn't even worth the $3 I spent. The twist wasn't even a shock because I wasn't invested in the characters or the story. I was just bored. I'm glad it was only a little over an hour long (hour and fifteen minutes to be exact).

I'm remember hearing about this on B-D a few months before it was released in theaters... And I've been intrigued by it ever since, just never got around to watching it.

Adaptation - 8.5/10

I just don't understand Nicolas Cage's career... He's done some insane roles, and then he does pure shit like The Wicker Man, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Season of the Witch...
