I enjoy the CagCast very much, so I will partake in this.

Edit: How do I listen to it from that website? will a player pop up when the Cagcast comes on?

Wait for it to buffer, if it doesn't work after a few minutes refresh. Also, apparently different browsers work better.

IE<Firefox<Chrome (from what I've heard, I'm using Firefox)

Damn, It's too bad I came to CAG at the wrong time. I hadn't heard about this so I missed it. I would have looked forward to joining in on the fun. Hope everything went well.

Live CAGcast Feedback thread

I had a few comments/suggestions about the live show, overall I thought it was great, and it's an awesome idea, especially with this calling in thing, but;

The audio was choppy.

To be fair I've never used blogtalkradio, so I don't know if it was you guys, maybe it was your latency to their servers, or if it was their (blogtalkradio's) service, but it did sadly bring the quality of the show down, because there were times that many people just could not understand what Cheapy or Wombat were saying, and these times lasted sometimes only 10 seconds, but also sometimes 5 or so minutes.

The audio wasn't as crisp as your pre-recorded shows. I played Cag Cast 176 at one point to compare the audio, and it was much clearer, your voices stood out more, and just sounded a bit better.

Also, when I called in, I wasn't sure if I was on when Cheapy was saying my name ("Uh, I think it's...Con.. U-H-F? Conuh F?...") or if I was on the moment he had said "On the air".

Maybe a chime, bell, or a buzz could be used to say like, *Ding!* "You're on the air!"

Overall, I think the test went really well, and once again this is an awesome idea, the sound quality was good enough for a live show, but the choppiness did get annoying after a while.

Anyone else have comments on their experience with the show?

I thought it was fun. I was the British guy (Pascual) and i think it would be cool to do it again but the audio quality was all over the place.

The show is over, but you can listen to it here:http://www.blogtalkradio.com/CheapyD...Live-Test-Show

I think next time we will just call in on phones. It should fix the choppiness problem.

Maybe I was just busy all week but you should make a bigger deal of the live shows cause I didn't realize there was one. I had no clue since you guys were so down on them in the previous few podcasts.

I could have made it to the show had you told us about it a bit earlier even just an hour before. When I saw the twit, it was only an hour old and show was already over.

I don't think it was Wombat in particular, it seemed more like coincidence that the lag spiked when he was talking, afterall, he is connected the whole time, any lag he contributes would be contributed throughout the whole show whether talking or not, especially since when there was lag it was both Cheapy and Wombat's voices.

Great test Cheapy. I do have to say though that after I hung up with you guys, Wombat seemed to get progressively better in quality, so I'm not sure what was causing the spikes. I definitely think that it's a better service than what you've used in the past though.
