Always take professional game reviews with a grain of salt. Imagine if you had to play games quickly and take notes while doing so, day in and day out. You just dont have time to get to the finer points of any game, before you have to move on. Godfather II is one of those games that you have to take your time with, to fully enjoy what it has to offer. The economy in the game is really what sets it apart from GTA and other games in the genre. When you take over businesses, you get a cut and the more businesses that you take over in a specific category, the more money you make. Not only are you completing missions set forth by your family, you also have to take over businesses and keep them your own. So it is a constant struggle to maintain everything, which adds a great deal of tension(which in turn adds a seesaw effect to the game, which lengthens it and keeps you on your toes).

If you are good at games though, play it on the hard difficulty setting. I played through on medium and it seemed a bit easy for me. On hard, it was a much better experience and again, added more tension.

I loved The Godfather: Blackhand Edition on Wii. For those who have played both The Godfather (any version) and The Godfather: Part II, how would you rank them side-by-side? My backlog is at 30+ and I'm not sure if I should take a dip on the sequel.

Godfather II is much more thought out. There is more variety in the missions and the economy really plays a major role in your progress. You control your own mob, so the more money you make, the better you can outfit them which makes it easier or harder to accomplish missions. The further you get into the game, the more you can basically rely on your underlings to complete missions(if you so desire them to do so).

If you liked the first game, you will absolutely love the second!

Godfather 2 is showing up $12.99? Also it seems they still have Killzone 2 for the same price. How are folks getting the extra 10%?
