During my recent visit to North Carolina, I luckily came across and KB Toys that was closing. Most of what I was thinking of getting was already gone (GBA player of GBA, I lost my SP). Then I spotted a Panzer Dragoon Orta and got it for 19.25 w/t tax. I pretty much only got it 'cause from what I understand, it's a rare game. I played the demo awhile back and wasn't really interested in it that much, so I'm not sure that I really want to play it now that I'm back home and can play it now (only brought my PS2 to NC). So, I have a couple of questions. 1.) Is it worth playing and keeping? 2.) Is it rare, or did I misunderstand? 3.) Is anyone interested, if so, then PM me since this isn't the trading forum 4.) Is it worth more unplayed, but I bought it with the seal cut, so does it even matter with the seal cut?

its not rare but it is an amazing game.

I would keep it, I spent 50 on it and feel it was worth it

I traded for it on TGN a few months ago and I came to these conclusions to help answer your questions:

1) It is worth playing if you like shooters. It is somewhat linear though, its one of those love it hate it sort o games. I really like it because it has immersive and deep gameplay.

2) I thought it was rare too, but on a trip to EB yesterday I saw a bunch of copies on the shelves for about $17.99 new.

4) I don't think its worth all that much monetarily, depends where you look though. Its fetching about upwards of $30 on Ebay, but in the real world (EBgames for instance) it goes for less than $20 on average.

Gaming wise I think its one of the best games on XBox, and from TGN it looks to be highly requested.

And on a side-note, playing a game doesn't really devalue it. It's more of scratches that develop from leaving it in the tray or just mishandling it that brings it down.

i thought it was too hard even on the easy difficulty. then again it was my first on rail shooter.

I got it for $15 from CC awhile back.

I doubt you'd get more than you paid for an unsealed copy. (Definitely not from a knowledgeable CAGer anyway )

Just did an Ebay search and an opened copy is going for $3.00 (15 Hrs left in the auction) another is going for $12 (1 Hr left)

This was the game that made me buy an xbox, I got my xbox like a week before it came out. I droped 50 bucks on it. There are very few games I would drop that kind of cash on. But I knew Sega would deliver and they did.

On a side note, I got my copy at Comp-usa and it came with a free controller. But they didn't have it in stock, so I got them to knock $20 off the price of a controller S. Proof that I am a true CAG

Maybe years from now you'll make a few bucks for a sealed copy, but in the immediate future, no, you'll get more out of actually playing it.

panzer sux ass!!!! i hate that game from the time i started playin it!!!!!! i threw it on the ground and thats a bad game!!!!

It'd be nice if you supported your game-bashing with reasons. Like why you hate it.

It's an ok game. I didn't particularly like or dislike it, kinda fun to play for a few hours. A bit short, though.

I wish my Orta had come with a free controller! That game just about killed my original Xbox controller with all the jamming on the A button. I loved that game though. Orta and Super Smash TV are like the only videogames I can play to mellow out. Once you get in the zone its all reflexes and my mind can just disengage.

Man, that game is short, I started it early this morning and just beat it. But, I was playing on easy, so I got normal and hard to tackle.

Okay, I lied, I admit it. I haven't beaten it, I can't even beat it on easy. I'm on the final boss, and I can't beat his third form. He keeps on locking on to me, I try just flying around in circles, thinking I can throw him off, but it won't work. How do I stop him from locking on to me?

Aim for its lock-ons with your lock-ons. It should destory them before they get close.

So, are you saying that after he locks onto me and shoots, that I shoot the things coming toward me?

I got it when it came out. Awesome game, I sold it a few months ago though, and I want it back :(. Well worth my $50.

Its a fun game, worth the $20.
