the BB.com deal might be different. Listen, if you certifiably take any game labeled Platinum Hits up to the counter, they cannot argue with you. You might need to get a manager involved, but if you have the print ad in hand and show it mentions "ANY" PH title, you'll be good. I personally guarantee this!

by this same token, the triple pack PH will work b/c they art work is clearly displayed as such. And yes, those games are individual cases, but I have no idea about the bar code situation. I'm sure they're still on there, and GS shouldn't have a problem taking any one, b/c they in fact still sell the triple pack new, so just say it came from that and point to theirs..

edit: what sucks is when I was looking for possible titles, the lack of PH titles or ones with that artwork was underwhelming. They had virtually every one at $20, but some of the ones for $30 I did not see, like Fable 2 for sure, GoW2 and Halo Wars (still had generic) so good luck, and I hope your stores have the titles you want! I hope to still get something from this deal..

MAJOR UPDATE: so, I decided to try it out. Picked 3 $20 titles (Dead Space, Mass Effect and Sonic Collection) all clearly PH artwork. I also figured I'd try the 10% off RZ coupon. So, she scans in games, my card, coupon. Package price applied 10% only. I told her one should be free. Obviously the coupon defaulted this. She took the coupon off as way of starting new transaction, and no package price for free game applied.

Well, she proceeds to get a CSR level 2 who asks another cashier what the deal is. She comes back with "its only the ones pictured here." I explained that cannot clearly be the case b/c says it applies to 'ALL' PH titles. Manager gets involved. Tells the cashier to put the price of the last game at $0.00 (in this case, Sonic) He overrides, sticks. At this point she didn't have the 10% coupon scanned in, and did so. Package price applied, two games changed to $17.99, third stayed free! $38.95 w/ tax for 3 games out the door.

So again this deal is effed up by BB, but with a little finesse and a good manager, it will actually work. The 10% coupon is an added little bonus, but I wouldn't have it scanned on there before the override. In fact, don't let the manager even really see it..(sorry for the moral debate about the coupon not being good "on other offers", but it worked )

I just got back from Best Buy and I got 3 games none were Plat boxes, and I got them just fine they were. All 3 were already in the system for the deal

I also should mention that the middle one was the free one, though she scanned Oblivion twice and did not even scan Fable 2 so I am going to go back later to see if they can adjust it. maybe save 10 bucks, either way I am go to go back later this week to see if they have Fable 2 plat edition

Goody...I was hoping they already had all the official PH titles in their computers (even ones with not a PH box) but looks like its a hassle even with the ph box ones.

Yeah, I'm not a happy camper. Just got back from Best Buy, tried to purchase PH titles and the manager did not play ball. Bad ad on BB's part

i want mass effect and fable but my best buy doesnt have either of the platinum editions so its not worth buying :(

It's one disc per game, and there's a total of 3 boxes (each game gets their separate original PH packaging). However, at the back of each box where the UPC is, it says "NOT FOR INDIVIDUAL RESALE" or something to that effect.

So for $310 you get an Elite 360 with Madden 10 and a controller. Not a bad deal.

wtf oblivion, fallout 3 and re5 are 40 dollar "platinum hits". 30 bucks i can sort of understand, 20 would be ideal(3 for 40 on a deal like this) but 3 for 80(re5+fallout3+oblivion) sounds horrendous for games that have been out for so long.

just saw kmart if you have one locally has army of two 40th day on sale for 39.99 instore only..

Aight, so here's the question on my mind (and probably several others'):

If I buy MAG and Mass Effect 2 from TRU, can I apply the $20 off to the other title, dropping both to $40?

In other news, I'm kind of pissed about the Bayonetta/Darksiders thing where I jumped on the $40 giftcard for buying both only to have the next week's ad be a $60 gift card for buying both. What's the over/under of this happening again with ME2+MAG?
