Sorry for crappy quality, but I never use imageshack. This is an old picture of my collection from a couple years ago in my tiny apartment. I've got around 611 games now. You can see the full list here:

I admit it. I'm a diehard Sony fanboy. However, once the PS3 came out, my love shifted to the Xbox and the xbox 360.

My Collection

I did it like this because I have no clue how to do it the way everyone else did.

Unfortunately many of my xbox, ps2 and 360 games have artwork, game and manual but no cases right now. You can see all the artwork and manuals in the pics though.

anyway

But yeah, about trading stuff in, it all just reeked of a scam to me as a kid and luckily I was smart enough to hold on to my games.

However, I did sell quite a few modern games (PS3/360) while I was living in Japan because import shops often bought them for more than I paid in the first place!
Stuff that could be had for $20 or less over here like Metal Gear Solid 4 and Rock Band sold for 4000yen - over 40 USD!

I was hoping to take a trip back to Japan last fall and bring a suitcase full of US games to trade in for a profit, but unfortunately I wasn't able to go.

Here's a link to the trade-in values at an import shop in Osaka if anyone's interested:

Wow and you could take home some famicom and super famicom and other Japanese exclusive games home. Maybe you could get enough to pay for your trip both ways -30 for red alert 3.

I'm surprised how many people have Greatest Hits all over their collection. Maybe I'm weird, but I'd rather just not have a game than have that version of it. >500 games and not a single one lol

I like to use Greatest Hits games as a stepping block towards the black label version.

Same here!

The only Greatest Hits-style game that I've bought and haven't replace with a black label/original packaging is the Pac-Man World 2/Pac-Man Vs. 2-pack on Gamecube as it was the only way to get Pac Man Vs. in a retail case.

Same here... over 300 games and not Greatest Hits / Platinum Hits / Player's Choice in my collection. Or regular edition of games that I know they have a Collector's Edition... and I also don't like Game of the Year Editions.

Just like you, I rather not have the game than have a version of GH / PH / PC...

Well I'm not a big collector anymore (maybe like 25-30 games now) but when I was at over 100/150 games I still would get GoTY versions. I would rather have the content. Fable or Fable TLC? TLC for the extra 10 hours of gameplay...

Well I appreciate any ideas people have. I have been looking for some shelves to put all of my games into to make them look great.

Thanks for the compliment also Vinny; it means a lot.

Well then you're going to hate this, Vinny:

They're actually everywhere because I just got them, $98 for the whole lot.
Don't you love garage sales?

I don't see what's so complicated about keeping a list. I mean, I just use a single post on a friend's forum to keep up with all my stuff. I have color coded by system in alphabetical order. ^^
