I hope they're not going to reset your lives whenever you quit the game, which seemed hypocritical when the two Mario games surrounding it (NSMB DS and Wii) let you collect as many as you could without punishment.

Also, there won't be any hub worlds in SMG2, just world maps like the 2D games:

I actually liked exploring the hub worlds. They should hide more surprises and secret place in them instead of eliminating them. (Where's Matt C... he can add this to his "lazy" article. I don't buy Miyamoto's excuse.)

not sure how I feel about the loss of the hub world. But the reason doesnt really make sense, I mean, its cause the game needs to be more accessible and easier? I thought this was gonna be a hard game, for the fans.

I will buy it anyway, and Im not really bothered by dropping it. But it seems odd to me.

Galaxy's hub didn't seem all that interesting to me. I's alright with this.

I'm not a fan of hub worlds, so this is good if you ask me, but I wouldn't consider my opinion too much, as I've yet to get around to even playing SMG1. I'm mostly a fan of 2D Mario.

Reveals some tidbits of information:
- A general outline of the game's intro: Peach sends Mario an invite for stargazing and cake. The game begins in a side-scrolling World 1-1-style level, complete with cameos of the Blue and Yellow Toads. After some walking, Mario finds an injured White Luma on the ground. Bowser appears, cackles and starts his mischief. Then Mario finds himself on a Mario head planetoid piloted by a fat purple Luma, and he uses it as his spaceship.
- Multiplayer mode: It's still "assist play," but this time, the second player controls an orange Luma that can attack enemies and fetch coins/1ups.

All these new power ups are amazing. My only worry is that you'll only see some of them once or twice.

I hope there's some open-endedness with the power ups. Like, being able to complete a level with cloud Mario or with Yoshi. Also, I hope the power ups aren't time restricted. Did anyone else hate that?

I've pretty much kept myself in the dark about this game, but I think I'll make it a day one purchase.

I just can't believe they didn't hold it until the fall.

I bought the first SMG game for $20 from somebody online just so I can acclimate myself to the gameplay again. Amazing how the game is still addictive and fun to play 2.5 years later.

I just hope it's not a disappointment like BioShock 2 and Final Fantasy XIII were for me. May 23, Day one buy.

I think with Double ECA and GB discount, I should be getting it for 27.... I should finish the first one off soon.

Maybe that's the reason people liked the Bee and Spring suits so much. To be honest, the majority of the power-ups in Galaxy didn't feel overpowered enough to make me want to keep them the entire level. The Fire Flower especially.
