Oops, thanks for pointing that out. I guess the single DUMPBIN UPC counts for the sale, even though it is placed on games of all different systems.

It would be awesome they would also qualify for the B2G1 free on Platinum Hits if there was a way to distinguish them as Platinum Hits games (which doesn't seem likely if the UPC is the same for all games) since that would be 3 games for $16.

Tons of the SNK PS2 ports and shovelware at my store, but I did manage to get a Streetfighter Anniversary Collection for $5. I've had my eye on Romance XI for two years now and although it dissapeared for a while it's now back and down $10 to thirty bucks, when/if it drops to $20 I'm all in. I'm not much of a figure collector but I noticed there were some Little Big Planet Dolls in the toy section too, bought the generic brown one for $13

It just might be that. I only bought two games. Too bad I didn't think of that.

If you happen to go there today or tomorrow, I'd ask them to do a test ring-up on three DUMPBIN games.

There will be a crap load of new clearance titles. I just glanced at my stores list and it is upwards of almost 300 titles across all platforms.

When are they going to start dumping these game on clearance and any kind of sample of games to make it at least kind of a worth while trip?

Tons of markdowns for Monday as prim4444 said- saw 1.5 pages for handheld software and at least 3 pages of markdowns for console software, far too much to remember. The bad news is they don't appear to be dropping much, likely because of the clearance sale coming up; for example Dragon Quest 5 only was clearanced to 28.98 from 29.99 and Band Hero for 360 only went to 32.98 as I recall; Many of these seemed to just drop a dollar to 7 or 8 dollars at most.

As for why so much clearance, I assume its because all the TRU that aren't going to Babies R Us combo stores are having R Zone redone where everything is in glass cases and can't handle as much stock, much like the R Zone in the existing combo stores.

Just came to report this. But beaten to it. Looks like I may be gettin a pink Scrabble next week.

So are the TRU that are not going to be Babies R US combo stores also going to have as many titles on clearance?

I hope some of the older games drop, there are some $5.00 games I wouldn't mind seeing drop to $3.00 and then an extra 25% off on top of that

No idea on that, but i'd imagine they'd be on sale still. They've been sitting on a lot of games no one wants for ages now.

So the markdowns went into effect today? Looks like I'll check out TRU later today...

Price drops at TRU do go into effect on Mondays. But the extra 25% off doesnt start until Friday. There's a lot of stuff dropping, so I would be surprised to see a complete list.
