The items listed below are as they appear in the Fry's B&M Ads. If an item is listed as "SJ only", for example, it could still be on sale at other locations (i.e. - Austin, Houston, Sacramento, San Diego, AZ, GA, IN, OR, Seattle), but it only appeared in the SJ ad. God of War III for 39.89? That can't be right.

Before anyone flips out (too slow, I guess)...$39.89 APPEARS to be the price of God of War III. But this may potentially be a print error. I cannot guarantee the accuracy of this. But based on the appearance of the ad, it does seem to be priced this low. The layout is the same in LA, Vegas and San Jose.

Fry's almost always indicates "Low Price" when they don't wish to reveal a price. That does not appear in the ad. Instead, the item appears right next to the listing for Dragon Age: Origins: Awakening without any sort of line between the items. When they lay it out like this the implication is that the $39.89 price applies to GoW3 as well. While I don't have any insider info, I have been watching Fry's ads for well over 6 years, so I have a good sense of the mentality of the ad designers.

Additional note: Toys 'R Us is offering GoW3 w/ a $20 Gift Card. When you factor that in, it's not unreasonable to think that Fry's specifically plans to one-up TRU.

I serisouly doubt it will be $40 unless they are somehow mistaking it for the GoW1+2 blu ray Bundle. If it turns out to be $40 then we'll be racing small game retailers for it as well.

Or like in Best Buyer fashion, they'll only have like 2-5 in stock.

I find it hard to believe it will be $40, usually when a game doesnt have a price listed but shares a price with another game, it'll say "low price guaranteed" or something to that nature. I guess we'll see in the upcoming days, maybe they'll clarify it by Sunday's ad

Could be that "$39.89 EACH" simply refers to the PS3 and 360 versions of DA being that price, not DA and GOW3. Still, would be nice to see GOW3 at that pice.

Thanks for posting this info fido. It's definitely worth a shot to check out fry's and see if it's gonna be this price. If not then I will just go to toys r us anyway.

given all the titles in that section have a price overlaid except gow3 i doubt it's selling for $40. good luck getting them or a price-matching retailer to honor it. anyway, thx as usual fidodido.

Looks like a misprint. They will post a sign at the store. Its been ages that I can remember Frys selling a "big" game so low on release day. Think it Madden 07 was $40 on release day....and there was a line outside.

my last recollection of a release date game on sale was ghost recon 2 for x360. It was $35 for the first day or two.

It's being read the wrong way.

Dragon Age: Origns and Dragon Age: Awakenings are 39.89 each. God of War III will undoubtedly be $60.

Eh, I hope they don't pull a FFXIII and not list the price
