MaximumPC for $15 for 2 years is a pretty good deal.

If I have current subscriptions for Xbox Magazine and Nintendo Power, will purchasing this 2-year offer just pick up at the end of those subscriptions?

Also, is it possible to gift a magazine subscription? I'm considering sending Playstation Magazine to a friend.

Oh man I looked back at last time I order subscriptions for NP and OXM... I managed to get NP for $5.52 and OXM for $6.93...

Makes this not look like quite such a good deal.

Sweet, was actually starting to think about renewing...perfect timing. Resubbing to OPSM and NP. Cool thing is that I did a 12-month last year with Amazon, so they already have my subscription info.

Adding 24 extra months should be as easy as checking Your Account -> Magazine Subscription Manager, if you're ordered the same thing from Amazon in the past.

Yeah, true, I did the same thing. But I'll bite on this because a) Magazines are on life-support and they need all the help they can get and b) I really like NP and OPSM...

There are times when you need to ease up on the cheapassness...?

Sometimes the OXM disc has free themes. Last one was Borderlands theme, but I think it's only been junk since. They need to do better with the disc, but the mag is always nice.

Is playstation magazine worth it or is it just a bunch of propaganda lulz? I read game informer so compared to that how does it fare?

I think Game Informer is better than any of those platform specific things. For cheap it's not bad, and I don't know that it's propaganda (although I liked it as PSM better), but Game Informer is just better written and has more actual interesting articles and things IMO. GI is closer to what Next Generation was.

Yes you still get exclusive demos and exclusive gamerpics as well, but the magazine itself degraded into more of a newsletter for xbox than an actual magazine (sort of like a microsoft version of nintendo power).

Still, great find OP.

Yes on both accounts.

As long as your put your info the same as it is on the current magazine labels, it will just extend your sub.

And you can gift the magazines and Amazon will even send a gift e-card, I think.

I don't know, I used to actually kind of like the real Nintendo Power. The Future magazines are...I don't know, just not super great. Not terrible, but just boring covers, few real articles, ugly, overblown layouts, etc.

I mean they're not a bad deal for the price though.

Sort of a grey area here. Ive never thought OXM was "worth it" for the magazine. The magazine is complete and total bs. The Demo discs on the other hand are worth it to me.
They still have exclusive demos from time to time,GamerPics and the occasional Theme.

Sometimes the magazine gets demo before they are on XBL
