Don't overlook Nintendo Power. It has - surprisingly enough - become one of the better gaming mags out there. I got in for two year at the price of one. Thanks, Cheapy.

I was a charter subscriber to OXM but I haven't renewed in years. It's been quite awhile since I've browsed the newsstands too. Does anyone know if they are still including the demo disc inside a plastic case? I recall this around 2004/2005. I remember in the first years they used cardboard-ish square sleeves.

I mean they're not a bad deal for the price though.
Sorry, I meant Chris Slate Nintendo Power.

Anyone know if OXM or OPM will auto-renew in 2 years at a steeper price?

No, unfortunately they just use normal CD sleeves now. I guess in a way it's good, since that generates a ton of waste, but I still use my plastic cases! Those suckers were nice! Use it to keep Netflix discs in when I'm on the go.

Don't worry, this is Amazon. You CAN set it to auto-renew, but you have to manually set that, otherwise it just runs out. Super great interface for seeing how much time you have left, renewing, etc.

I picked up OXM and PC Gamer. I listen to the podcasts from those 2 magazines. So, I like to support them. Now I will just support them cheaply.

I got a sub to the Nintendo and Playstation ones, but never read them. So, I'm just going to let them expire. I mostly read OXM and briefly look thru PC Gamer.

The OXM arrives one month earlier, you you get to access reviews of some games (Mass Effect 2!) with exclusive pictures a few days sooner than the net (before they're scanned).

Also the demo discs helped before upgrading to 250GB. Otherwise you have to shuffle demos in tine 20GB space, which is not always nice.

I got it cheap last year ($7.47 for a year), so I don't complain.

I must be the rare breed that actually likes reading OPM, and magazines in general.

OPM is a pretty balanced magazine overall and I like that they include some variety of articles, like movie reviews, and the occasionally cool exclusive (the first screens of New Vegas that I saw were in the latest issue). Good mag (I just wished I wasn't already renewed until 2012, I'm afraid to renew anything past the end of the world).

Interested in selling some back issues of PSM? I just got a PS3 and I wouldn't mind checking out a few magazines before I subscribe.

Let me know...

I decided to pick up OXM again, my subscription ended some time ago, but didn't find any good deals, this seems decent enough. I did enjoy getting some free gamerpics and themes from time to time.

Adding 24 extra months should be as easy as checking Your Account -> Magazine Subscription Manager, if you're ordered the same thing from Amazon in the past.

Quick question, if i got a subscription from amazon last year for OPSM and i want to add to that sub, should i use the address i gave amazon the first time or should i use the adderess labeled on the magazines i'm still receiving? they put my apt before my street address. thanks
