I'm still too annoyed every time I get a Maxim instead of an EGM... I don't think I'll be subscribing to EGM again.

The first thing I do upon receiving a new issue of OXM is to toss the subscription cards then the worthless disc. That being said I still enjoy the previews and I generally agree with most of the review ratings. They also usually are able to review Live Arcade games pre-release. At it's offer price I would say it's worth getting.

I called them and complained and they gave me my money back.

I dont miss EGM though because their magazine was shit and had been shit for 7 or 8 years. It steadily turned into an advertisement machine and they would never say anything negative about a popular game and on the rare occasion they did it was something like "Well we didnt care for the story to much but dont get us wrong it wasnt bad at all and alot better than some games, it could just have used some polish but you could tell they tried really hard!", that was about the worst they would say about a big name game especially if that game was being advertised with them. They would tear little no name games apart.

All their reviewers were morons anyway with idiots like sean baby with his studded belt and green mohawk and he tried so hard to be in a niche like the video game nerd or someone and he forced it so much he sounded and looked like a fake schill. Was annoying to see him try to tear apart games like barbies t shirt factory or something like that.

Some guy sends in a real email that isnt childish, doesnt curse, doesnt act like he is a 11 year kid and tries to make a point and EGM just gives some oddly half insulting comment and goes on.

EGM was self indulgent tripe that wasnt worth a shit and it was a pity cause they used to be good.

To be fair, most gaming mags are like that, although some are worse than others. Now that EGM isn't on the shelves (yet, it would see), Game Informer has taking it's place in giving the most asshole answers.

Hmmm...it seems that I can put the 1 year of OXM and the auto renewal (1 year) and get both for the price of one. Does anyone know if you order both, will they stack on each other (so 2 years?) or will they send you two copies of the magazine?

I would just buy the 2-year subscription so you don't have to worry about it.
