I just called them to try and get my order fixed and the representative told me the code was only $25 off not 25%. He also said they never do percentages (his exact words). My order has apparently already been packaged and shipped so I couldn't cancel it either. I think I just got a bad rep so i'm trying to call back but i'm getting the same guy.

Um, ok, but what is meant by "exclusive to GameStop affiliates only"? If it means that it's only meant for the use of affiliates themselves, then sharing it with the entire world is leaking it.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I certainly hope that it's completely legit, my orders (including my pre-orders) get shipped, and the offer stays valid all month like it says. But a 25% discount pretty much kills most, if not all, of their profit margin, and I find it hard to believe that they're going to do that for an entire month.

I was going to get 3 35 buck ds games but then figure Try this with amazon ...

105 bucks x 25% == 78.25 + 7% tax 83.76

now
Amazon could sell these 35 bucks games at 30 s0 90 with no tax

so just little over 6 bucks savings

and really cant find a 3rd ds game i really really want

so far

Golden sun DS (though already have this on pre order via amazon for 28)
Dragon quest 6 (could see amazon dropping this to 30.. though could see it going to 40 before release)

cant find a good 3rd ds preorder

I asked this before but didn't get an answer -- asking again because it's pretty buried in the thread now and surely someone knows:

What happens with one of these offers if you pre-order multiple items to reach the minimum amount, and then cancel one of those items later? Do you still get the discount on the remaining items, or does the discount get removed? What happens if some of the items have already been shipped?

I've got a few pre-order items that I'm on the fence about (or, in some cases like Fable III, wondering whether there will be a CE), and I'm wondering what would happen if I were to place an order now, and then decide later that I don't want one of them.

Yeah, 14.99 for a NEW copy of Call of Duty 4: GOTY Edition (PS3) was pretty awesome.

Much thanks OP! I got Red Dead and Crackdown 2 for 95, instead of 127 in store.

In the process I got the manager at my gamestop to hate me lol. I canceled all my reservations this week (4 of them) and he gave me crap about hurting the store. Saying they are rated based on their reserves and I just gave them a negative 4 for the week single handedly. It's like well tell corporate to not have sales online. Seriously if I can save $15 per game, why wouldn't I do it? He tried telling me you don't get the pre-order bonuses and it's like uhh, yeh you do lol.

I have a little extra money in my checking account so I decided to test it. I submitted 2 of the exact same orders, 1 last night and 1 just now, with identical items, codes, mailing addresses, payment methods, etc. The one last night took $25 off, the one just now took 25% off.

Not sure how I can use this to my benefit since the service representatives aren't helping at all. I might just have to wait until I get the first order in the mail and then return it.

I don't know if it would have gone through, but I made an order earlier and canceled it because I made a mistake. I had to cancel each game separately because of the different ship dates. As I canceled one by one, the remaining games still showed up at the discounted price. Don't know if Gamestop would have honored it, but the order summary page was still giving me the 25% off even though the order had been modified to be under 100.

If that's going to happen to you, I guess that will happen to me too. I got a shit load of preorder games ordered already. I think one went through already but the others not yet. I really hope I get away with murder because these deals are insanely good. I just canceled a bunch of shit at my Gamestop store just to use that money to buy these preorders on their site.

So far all of my orders are still intact. That being said, though, I'm going to wait a little while to cancel any pre-orders elsewhere, until we see what happens with these.

I'm hoping the cancellations are just flukes. I would like to pre-order Blur and get Pokemon Heart Gold and a 4-pack of AA batteries to put me over $100. Of course if they canceled my pre-order but let me keep the 25% off of Heart Gold and the batteries, then I'd be just fine with it.

I got two orders that doesn't say Verifying like my other two orders. I got two orders so far saying Pre-Order so I hope those go through and if the other two that says Vertifiying and it doesn't go through, it won't bother me. I was going to plan to get Amazon Prime and start buying my games off their but this deal came up and I couldn't refuse. But yeah, best the luck to me and everyone here that some of these orders go through.

Eh, I've got a pre-order that I placed two months ago that still says "verifying", and I seem to remember seeing that on other pre-orders in the past right up until they shipped, so I don't think that means anything.

What it comes down to for GameStop is that if they're making any profit at all on these orders, they should let me keep them, because if they don't I'll more than likely get the games at Amazon instead. If they're not making any profit, then hey, I totally understand if they cancel them.

Can you use the code online, but use the in-store pick-up method? I wanted to order Green Day Rock Band for only $51 with the coupon, but I was wondering if I can get it for that price in the store with the in-store pick-up rather than having it shipped.

Nope. Doesn't work. Coupon will cancel out. Only valid for online

Xbox 250GB hard drive for $98 before tax is a killer price (sure, the $/GB ratio still sucks, but $98 is a lot better than $130!).

Thanks OP!

I don't know if any of you guys noticed this one, but after I placed an order with the offer code provided, I went to check my order history and noticed the status "Verifying" for each line items. According to my recollection, it should say "Pending" before the actual shipment. Does that mean they are trying to verify if I am one of their affiliates? Anyone has any idea? Thanks.
