The GOG version of MOO2 is already configured to play via IP.

And it's not just games from the Infogrames or Microprose label. GT Interactive, some Psygnosis, Ocean, Hasbro, Humongous, Accolade, etc. are are possible.

Also seems to be a lot of fixes for some problems that crop up.

I like GoG, but if it wasn't for the community finishing the job they started on the harder games, I'm not sure I'd buy so many games from them. I'll give the community a few more days to iron out Outcast and probably get it.

For anyone getting Master of Orion 2, make sure you download the reference card as well! GoG messed up with the original DRM of asking for a ship at the bottom of the manuals pages - they said they removed the DRM (i.e you can just choose anything and proceed) but it seems they might not have. At least it seems they are aware of the problem and will fix it.

The community is one of the best parts of GOG. They take way more initiative with tweaks than the Steam community, and I don't think D2D even has a forum.

My Cryptic Passage won't run... anyone else having the same problem?

The shortcut does nothing and it won't load manually through dosbox.

Nevermind, got it to work - had to enable both admin and XP compatibility mode, I got thrown for a loop since Blood worked without either.

"One Unit Whole Blood" That's awesome.

Man, that's Build engine, right? I wonder if I'd still have fun with those-back in the day they looked and played awesomely. That engine had a pretty long life-last really big "fake 3D" engine, I think.

Same here. I didn't have a PC when Doom was released, but got one when Blood first came out and this was my introduction to online FPSs. I use to play this game a ton on TEN, an online gaming service. The actual game developers would jump online with us players and would take recommendations on gameplay changes that they later implemented in game patches. I remember the game came with a music video on the game disc done by Type O Negative and just found out that the lead singer died this past week.

Looks great, plays awesome still, it's better than a good 95% of the FPS we see in this generation.

All we need to see is Shadow Warrior on GoG (and I believe Atari has the rights) and we'll be all set.

I still have my boxed copy of One Unit Whole Blood but that's gonna go. This is an awesome deal even though it's not on sale.

I think on the GOG threads they stated that too.

Yep, that's right, and IIRC it's a heavily modified version of it.

Wow, I've honestly never heard of this game, despite the reverence shown it. I think I was stuck on Diablo.

Blood (and Shadow Warrior) also added voxels for some elements.

So that's two games with voxels in one week. What's next, Hexplore?

Does Blood use DOSBox, or did they port the code?

HOLY FLURKING SNIT!!!

Another game that I once paid a lot for gets released for cheap.
Around five years ago, I payed $75 for all of the Blood games,
and their addons (Blood 1, two addons, Blood 2, 1 addon),
and they were used. I paid good money for the Redneck
Rampage games, except for the racing one. I paid for used
copy of Kingpin.

Oh joy, oh joy, oh joy, oh joy, oh joy, oh joy, oh joy, oh joy, oh joy, oh joy, oh joy, oh joy, oh joy, oh joy, oh joy, oh joy, oh joy, oh joy, oh joy, oh joy, oh joy...
